Losing money.Any reason why? Advance was just same as vato zone or pep boys. Place to get parts or basic shit like oil etc. those places seemed to always be busy least here east coast.
Might as well load up on air fresheners cleaning stuff etc.
eeer isn't the WRX supposed to be a continuation of the homogolated rally champ car? Since when did the ultimate rally car have CVT ahhahahahSubaru decided to make a new WRX STi, after saying that the S209 would be the last one. But what the fuck are they thinking by making it CVT-only, removing the disconnecting center diff, and knocking off 50 HP compared to the S209 STi. It's probably the CVT, since they have been problematic for some of their mainstream Subarus, and it wouldn't be able to handle the full HP and torque that the S209 STi had.
Yet it still remains to be a grotesque and fugly abomination like an unwanted child the result of incest.Subaru decided to make a new WRX STi, after saying that the S209 would be the last one. Realistically from my time spent there in that shithole in the past you'd easily see a big dirty 79 series come down the road spewing out diesel fumes like no tomorrow and usually hear it before you see it. At least essentially any state where it's all pretty much farming and full of mining you'd see heaps of big rigs on the road spewing out oil, diesel fumes, and all that. I even ran myself a catless setup during my time there in a vehicle of mine and never had an issue (that I highly recommend for those low end gains). However it's the Eastern States where you end up with the snobby rich white fucks who want to complain about everything because they have nothing else better to do with their miserable lives and it's easy revenue. A friend of mine mentioned they've begun even trialing point to point speed cameras in NSW or QLD? I believe now.I'm surprised the australian government allows summernats to continue. The're hard against modifying of cars from what I hear, depending on what province you live in, and I know the aussie gov is all in on climate change to a much higher degree than the US gov so I'm surprised their equivalent of the EPA isn't swooping in and arresting people for doing burnouts. Also, australians have such terrible taste in car mods. Commodore after commodore with gigantic hood nigga wheels. And those big wheels all look like stuff that was on the nigmobiles 15 years ago here.
A hellcat, or any modern mopar, is a great car to pull this with. The people who want them are mostly idiots who won't do research and just want to look hood rich, and damaged or destroyed hellcats are everywhere. Would I drive a widebody hellcat charger with no stripes and a dark paint color if they didn't have so much baggage? Sure. But not when the market is full of stuff like that car, the insurance on them is crazy, and they are stolen left and right.I love going on Facebook and Craigslist and finding scam cars. Searching the VIN and seeing a fucking wicked front end collision on an auction and the sale page is "clean title! Financing available" and a bunch of shit in Spanish. messaging them about it and seeing the listing disappear.
This video encapsulates the experience
Keep in mind Matt is from LA where a lot of young kids who drive like douches (early 20s) have cars like the C63 and M3/M4 so his perspective is a bit skewed from the rest of the country. Was listening to a podcast recently, maybe Smoking Tire, and apparently the last gen C63/63S has a reputation of being boy racer/douche bag cars? News to me.
I don't want or like the aesthetics of a bed so a similar body on frame suv is my pick.So I've spent a year now driving a lifted midsize truck instead of my previous fast hatches/sports cars. No more track days - that difficult to schedule time has been replaced by going camping or fishing damn near every weekend instead. I definitely miss the engagement of my other cars - the truck's steering is numb, slow and overboosted to the point that I can operate it with a single finger. Throttle response is lazy and handling is hilariously tippy-feeling, with tires that apply a healthy layer of squidge to your inputs and their feedback.
All that said, even when I'm not doing the outdoors stuff, I appreciate the truck - it's crazy comfortable, can drive over damn near anything and having a big box outside the cab to stuff things that are either too big or too dirty to share a space with is great.
I have enough mechanical sympathy that I can work with what little feedback the tall soft suspension and hilarious steering give me and run the new girl right up to her (much lower) limits. I also find that I went from someone driving a sports car like a sports car in traffic (aka a complete asshole) to someone that drives like an old man since there aren't a lot of tactile rewards for driving a tall soft truck like it's fast - mostly it just feels very unhappy doing that kinda thing.
As another part of the truck ownership experience, I've yanked a few cars and trucks out of deep sand while driving home from the beach and helped a few friends move large objects. I don't mind this - being a problem solver is kinda rewarding.
I'm not trying to sell anyone on buying a truck, but I can say that it's not all bad like some people would like you to think it is.
Potato/potahtoI don't want or like the aesthetics of a bed so a similar body on frame suv is my pick.
