There is functionally nothing stopping the government from creating a "surveillance state" (Not that they would need to, its already here. How could you not know this in current year?).
However... this bill is for a few key data centers in Texas specifically the initial investment is only 100 billion for four years and is including new power infastructure for specified data centers.
While I seriously doubt the efficacy of Altman there is no serious reason beyond delirious schizoposting to believe that at the moment this has anything to do with WEF tier enslavement. If you truly believe the elites are ready to start such a level of surveillance, no one we can vote for was ever going to stop it.

I have no qualms admitting that I feel uneasy about Musk and co. The man clearly has an autistic fascination with transhumanism and Cyberpunk-esque novels. However so far this seems mostly like a grifting initiative by Altman who continues to boast about his failed AI musings wrapped up in a neat package to develop power infrastructure. EXACTLY the mentality I was talking about in the initial post, which didn't even have anything incendiary in it - getting this irate over asking a question about American public education and why a Holocaust memoir is used to teach grammar. Brown (later Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) was one of the most ardent promoters of it and affirmative action specifically, Lohmeier remained higher-profile than Scheller and besides doing more media appearances in general, I've found he seems to be the #2 guy at a conservative military organization called 'Stand Together Against Racism and Radicalism in the Services' (STARRS).
