Maybe the high compression of my clip gave you this impression? The areas that are usually difficult to chroma key look fine to me.

He is using a shorter focal length than usual, which might be causing this effect. The current microphone appears to be different from the one he used in his last YouTube stream. Maybe he also bought a new camera lens?

That made me think of an older film "Requiem for a Heavyweight". An once promising boxer with his best days behind him and suffering from brain damage looks at options for his future after boxing.
