The funny thing is, this really means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

1. It's easy to say your bi or asexual or whatever.

2. If you're hispanic, you can really just say you're white or hispanic depending on whatever is beneficial at the time.

3. When you systematically remove, or refuse to hire, anyone that disagrees with your politics, it's not really a "win".

I know people like Razorfist mention that China intentionally pushes DEI on Western gaming and I should not buy from the East, but at this point, what the fuck am I supposed to do? Every Western gaming company, every single one, pushes fagshit in some form or another. I'm not saying I'm welcoming our new Chinese bugmen overlords, but if it's a choice between learning Japanese/Mandarin/Korean and sucking the feminine penis, then さようなら, America/Europe.

On the hypothetical. I don't really buy the Chinese stuff, but pretty much every new game I've played comes from Japan. I had 3 games I was looking forward to buying this first quarter. Now it's only Rebirth.

Oh wait shit, you're right, DAO isn't isometric, that's the strategy camera. My bad - I used to play mage and used that camera all the fucking time and forgot the game normally plays third person. (But more zoomed out than, say, Space Marine.)

I played Rebirth on PS5. Gameplay is sound but man, so many wrong choices were made with that game. I wonder if I would've felt the same going into KC2, had I not come across this thread, as I did after finishing Rebirth.

Most of the games I play were made 10 or even 20 years ago. These days I find myself emulating stuff from the sixth and seventh console generation.

Funny that you mention 30 years in particular, since 8/v/ recently tried to create a chart of good games from 1992 to now...but they failed, rather spectacularly. Not because there aren't enough games to fill a chart like this, but because they didn't know enough good titles and because of surrounding drama, which I already documented in the appropriate thread. Note that they had no such problem documenting a list of shota/lolicon games to play, which went off without a hitch last I checked.
Anyways, a proper made chart with good games made over 30 years would be fantastic for people asking "What should I play?"
There is some old /v/ charts you could link, I guess, but they may be outdated

That's what i did. I downloaded a pre-configured Launchbox that pretty much consists of the entire cartridge/disc based history of gaming from the Fairchild Channel F to the GB Advance with C64, Amiga, ZX Spectrum and Arcade thrown in (~22,000 games, it was fun downloading those 174 gigs with 5 seeders and at best 5 megabytes/s speed), also downloaded ExoDos, ExoScummVM and might even get ExoWin for good measure and i think i'd be happier with that (and Duckstation, Dolphin, PCSX2 and RPCS3) than any modern game. I got burned enough (Forza Motorsport, Payday 3, Cities Skylines) over the pat few years and watched enough crap happening (Dustborn, Concord) and refunded KCD2 to really not give a damn about "modern games". Even indie games are mostly a failure, like Disco Simulator, that Movie studio game, really the only good indie games lately were Balatro, TCG Simultaor and Supermarket Together which is fun with friends at least.
Of course the kicker is that i just spend 2910€ for a new PC in anticipation of KCD2 (and for wanting to play Helldivers 2, RDR2 and indie games like Riftbreakers maxed out) and it was all for naught pretty much, i could've just stuck with my 3 year old PC and probably be happier.
