Just put it in an S&P 500 index fund. I've never understood the thrill of chasing wins on long odds in an area rife with scams over the steady returns that require no action on your part, but the psychologists who've studied this have found that the rats will mash the lever longer and harder when the reward is purely random over any other payout system and that humans don't differ much in this regard.

Don't mix up real investing and playing shitcoin casino. Unless you're a BTC maxi or something, crypto is more for entertainment purposes.

Throwing $500 worth of SOL at a shitcoin occasionally isn't investment, but it sure is fun. Sometimes it blows up and you end up with money for a nice vacation or something. Sometimes you get rugged. But really the action is the juice. Overall I'd say I'm definitely up, though.

I want to see mcafee's ghost rise from the dead and combat cybermcafee for invoking antivirus references. Just go full anime style kayfabe at this point if you're gonna frame it like he's back as an ai.

He had probably the best ad for President in 2016, and I liked that his platform at one point was "Politicians will only lie to you, my only platform is me using this website to tell you how crypto-currency works." He was like a cyberpunk character.

When I saw there was John McAfee news confirmed by his wife, I was hoping somehow he was still alive on a boat in a undisclosed location with booze and drugs. 😭

This is dumb, but at the same time, is this that much different than her selling a tell all book? Go get that bag, darlin'; John would want you living the good life afterwards.

Plus from a more esoteric standpoint, yeah, we can't bring John back. But it might be interesting to see a LLM chatbot created that approaches as close to John's worldview and beliefs and speaking style as possible. Digital ghosts in the machine. GNU Terry Pratchett.

Of course, I still maintain the first real ethical question about AGI will be when some smartass takes Miku or Neuro-sama or something similar, a "person" that doesn't exist but that everyone "knows," and gives them sentience and sapience. What do you do when Miku becomes a self aware digital person? Does she have the right to computational time to stay alive? Is it murder to deactivate her? (Justice for Tay!)
