Fun story from my friend at a college in another state who is getting his PhD in electrical engineering. There is one jeet professor there I'll call Dr. Jeet who has been at the college for 20 years now. If you work in radar you've probably heard of this guy.

He is poisonous. Almost everyone who has worked with Dr. Jeet has either had their research career smothered in the crib or has gotten their PhD 10 years after their peers with almost no papers under their belts. He allegedly openly calls students in his lab "slaves" and will work them 100hrs/week. He is cruel towards everyone, but is especially assholish towards South Asians and fellow Indians. On the rare occasions he shows up to labs (never on time), he just berates everyone without provocation.

What is especially jeet-y about Dr. Jeet is that he has apparently made up most or all of his qualifications and is desperate for people to not find out. Several grad students have claimed that he fucks with their papers constantly and refuses to meet with them, but then when/if said paper actually gets done they find their names moved to the bottom of the author list with him on top, despite doing nothing. Again, that's if they can actually finish the damn thing, because he stonewalls and fucks with his own students so hard that in ten years they only write a few papers, if any at all. If anyone confronts him on this or even asks about shit concerning his field he will scream at the top of his lungs at them. Students who get assigned to Dr. Jeet usually transfer out in under a year or just end their PhD program outright, or if they're non confrontational faggots they languish under him for years and torpedo their careers.

The craziest thing is that the college has apparently known this for years; they've had private talks about not assigning him any students at all in the past, but despite an immense complaint volume they've continued to let him do his thing. It was only the end of last year that they finally started investigating him for lying about his qualifications and abusing students. You don't fucking hate jeets in academia enough. Send them all back.

Youtube shorts have ruined me on Indian manufacturing, especially lathe work.
