3 months from plea to streaming? I thought the whole point of a plea was to have your sentencing essentially predetermined?

It is predetermined in every way. But this is the law and there are magic incantations and ceremonies that have to be done before they can read the table and tell him what he likely already knows. Nothing ever happens fast with the law and courts.

My understanding is usually the plea agreement is to the charges and it comes with a sentence recommendation. However, the actual sentence is up to the judge 100% and therefore it still requires a full pre-sentence investigation.

He still has to be a good boy on-air for the next three months. None of that "I was forced to plead guilty" bullshit. They're going to make him dance for us!
You just know he's gonna do his gay, wishy-washy obviously imply bullshit

"I'm guilty according to the legal system. It was advised to me that pleading this way was in my best interest."

Doubling down on Montagraph Pedo claims when the case is schedule for a trial at the end of 2025 is prime lolcow behavior.
Nick's ability to not learn a thing is astonishing.
The way he's acting, Nick must really think that Monte's reputation is SO in the gutter that it should be easy to show everyone why he would believe he's a pedo.

Which is in direct contrast with the reality that the moment people looked closer at Monte they just found a weirdo who made a weird (and shitty) movie. None of the allegations buzzing around him held up to even the slightest bit of scrutiny.

They still have to do admin shit like pre-sentencing reports. Sean went over this one of his shows.

They could have technically had the sentence ready to go, but they usually don't. Government moves slow.

Anyways, the big thing is this:

He just licked the boot he said he never would. He bowed down. He plead guilty. To what exactly, we don't know yet, but we should know soon enough. Big news.

EDIT: Typo

They already tried that earlier in the case. Nick paid his attorney to research and write up an enormous amount of material on all things Monty. In the end, they didn't come up with much of anything.

From a legal point of view, about all they have in the case is getting Monty declared a public figure and putting everything into a defense based around Monty's side not proving actual malice.

But the problem for Nick is Nick not being able to keep his own mouth shut in the case. If Monty's lawyer is good enough, Nick has provided them through his streams with an enormous amount of damaging material in the case. His particular decision to answer the legal complaint in the case himself on-stream was particularly insane. His various statements are going to make his upcoming deposition a nightmare and make any trial testimony by Nick do more harm than good.

Monty's attorney could still mess it all up. There could be rulings against them in the case by the judge that favor Nick. And honestly at this point, you have to wonder what they will even get if they win. Nick seems broke. He doesn't have enough cash to make mortgage payments. He sold off his biggest asset in the second house. The biggest assets he has left are going to be used cars and bad paintings.
