Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it is indeed a felony conviction with a felony sentencing (idk if it will, depending on if the plea deal I think he took will include it or not); then he'll loose access to his firearms?

Some circuits like the 3rd answer the question by first considering whether the felony is violent or not. 8th Circuit (where Minnesota is at), however, is not one of those circuits, and has ruled that any felony makes gun possession a crime. See United States v. Cunningham, 70 F.4th 502 (8th Cir. 2023) (at least as it relates to federal law prohibiting felons from possessing guns)

I completely agree with everything you've written here. Yet I was watching a clip of Michael Malice and Jordan Peterson yesterday. Malice was asking Peterson why people abused children. The explanation that Peterson gave him couldn't help but bring Nick Rekieta to mind -- not because I think he's fucking his kids, but he's definiitely on the trajectory Peterson is talking about here.

Realistically, if he ever sees the inside of a cell, he'll get out and regale us with tales of hanging out with the sex offenders because they look and act like Vito.
