Why are you jumping to that? Even with how fucked Nick is, seems a bit far to say he was molesting his daughter. Dosing her with cocaine in lieu of ADD medication I can buy, but not molesting a 9 year old.

I completely agree with everything you've written here. Yet I was watching a clip of Michael Malice and Jordan Peterson yesterday. Malice was asking Peterson why people abused children. The explanation that Peterson gave him couldn't help but bring Nick Rekieta to mind -- not because I think he's fucking his kids, but he's definiitely on the trajectory Peterson is talking about here.

I'm a lifelong atheist but Peterson's account of Cain's discourse with God completely rings true to me and the parallels with Rekieta's recent online discouse seem uncontestable.

It's probably a midwestern thing, you know how like they call all sodas "Coke"? All video platforms are YouTube.
Southerners call pop “coke,” midwestern call pop “pop.”

It’s an old person thing. We’re just now getting past the point where every website is “the google.” Fuck, I’m not even that old and I call all the streaming services “tv.”

He's almost definitely getting probation with mandatory rehab, and a fine. The CPS issue might require he still be able to pass piss tests, but that's entirely at the discretion of CPS and how lazy those fucks want to be.

It's a literal slap on the wrist to get him to clean his shit up so they don't have to see him again.
Do not underestimate the zealots in the Minnesota Department of Children, Learning, and Happy Thoughts when you're not some sort of sacred minority.

This hit me like a freight train when I listened to it at work the other day, to the point where I got a little emotional and had to stop, take a few deep breaths, and collect myself. I can't believe that I did not make the connection to Rekieta when I heard it. I REALLY hope that Nick did not go as far as some people here think that he did ☹️.
