The biggest complaint I have about Musa is him being both Malian AND a scholar. Besides getting into the sassiness.

There were transsaharan trade routes, there were "blackamoors" that wandered around a bit as circus freakshow types and curiosities. Very rare, would be annoying as hell to have a bunch of them around, but it's not really unrealistic to have one OR not have one in the setting. Put this way, I find it genuinely more unrealistic to have half the modern-day population of Montana be Black in Far Cry 5 than I do to have one random African in Bohemia.

Its not about him being in the game. It's about WHY hes in the game - mainly every big western game now MUST have a nigger, and MUST have faggotry, or it will not be allowed to be made. I'll admit, despite immensely enjoying both the amount and intensity of the backlash this has sparked, the backlash is obviously overblown. Everything I've read from leaks that seem realistic makes the game out to be very much a worthy successor to the first in terms of mechanics and writing. Vavra's faggotry be damned.

But I'm also not going to deny that when the gay/Yakub stuff came to my attention I was one of those people seeing red. I was mad as hell despite full well knowing the game will still be head-and-shoulders above most of its competition and right up my alley. And I am not alone. People are STILL going hard in the steam community forum. To a lesser extent I see it on youtube as well.

I think the reason this has struck such a nerve with people is threefold:

1 - People know the score. They've seen this happen time and time and time again. They're full blown noticers and they won't be bullshitted. I'm with them, give this poison no more ground.
2 - The first game was the anti-woke antidote and now its sequel is showing signs of infection. People feel betrayed, and Vavra's sperging has only thrown salt on the wound. The dynamic feels like half trying to cut off the infected limb before it spreads to the body and half fuming like a spurned lover.
3 - Recent highly publicized reactions against SBI and its ilk have created a much more organized resistance to anything perceived as woke in the gaming sphere. Followers of these woke-watchdog groups have shitposted over many a DEIified game's corpse and this ravenous horde of shitposters is fresh off a decisive victory over DA: Veilguard. They're looking for their next scalp and smell blood in the water.

We're also in the midst of an oft-cited cultural and political "vibe shift." People who have a problem with this stuff feel more emboldened than ever to speak their minds about it, and Vavra and Warhorse's reactions essentially egged them on at every step of the way. KCD2 is probably not Concord, Suicide Squad, Nigger Creed, etc, but the devs acted just like the insufferable shit-heads who worked on those games so people reacted as they do when encountering pompous, arrogant devs. As others have pointed out, he has no one to blame but himself.

Right, the tide has turned, and after watching all of my favorite things get raped by the wokenoids, my philosophy has become scorched earth. Our society has been tolerating this garbage my entire life, and i've only ever seen normalcy lose ground. As a result, not only am I and many others saying not one step back, but also attack, attack, attack, because we know as soon as we relent, the fagaloons will be back, worse than ever. I really loved KCD1, its one of my favorite games from the past 10 years, but if 2 has to die for woke to be removed, then thats sacrifice i, and many many others, are willing to make. I think this is the main point I would like to expand. I've played games that are more woke than KCD2, but at least the devs were up front about it. Warhorse knew what their audience was and knew they had this cancer on their game and decided to keep silent about it. Never showing it on trailers or promotional material, until it was leaked by a Saudi report.
