State of Minnesota v. Nicholas Rekieta, Kayla Rekieta, April Imholte

Will Nicholas Rekieta take the plea deal offered to him?

Realistically even if he put in effort it's unlikely he could ever support a family of 7 people again. The vast majority of it would have to come from his family. It doesn't matter if it's 'not bad' or not if it's way too low for his financial needs.
Honestly, if he put in effort, it is doable. That’s one of the things people screamed at Nick for years, long before this happened, the amount of easy things he could be doing to make way more money that he simply wasn’t is honestly staggering.

Cognitive decline might hurt things but I still think the major factor is Nick will not give a damm.

I don't see him ever bringing in hundreds of dollars a night again. He got most of his following capitalizing on trials people were already interested in, and grew that following by portraying himself as an e-daddy. Once that is gone it's a much tougher road to hoe. I don't think any of it matters though since his parents are apparently paying fully for his lifestyle.

I just wonder how that can be sustained when he's such a decadent consumer. Not only with the drugs and sex toys and shit, but the stupid frivolous things like the expensive paintings and the flamethrower robot dog he was bragging about wanting to drop 10k or something on. Combine that with just not being able to take care of basic financial responsibilities like mortgage and property tax? I genuinely don't know how he will manage. It's almost Chrischan levels of needing to be managed.

150-200 a night is honestly pretty good for the low effort he put out. Which is my point. He can easily make money.
He can easily make money but $1400 a week isn't going to support a family of seven in the lifestyle Nick wants to live.

I think he'll probably pull OK numbers when he first resumes streaming but maintaining them, let alone increasing them, could be a problem.

This is the important part, I think:

I have been told by my attorney and understand:
a. That my attorney discussed this case with one of the prosecuting attorneys and that my attorney and the prosecuting attorney agreed that if I entered a plea of guilty, the prosecutor will do the following: (Give substance of the agreement)

  • Plead guilty to amended charge of drug possession in the third degree
  • Statutory stay of adjudication pursuant to Minn. Stat. §152.18
  • Remaining terms of the sentence at Court’s discretion
  • State drops all other charges.
  • State dismisses 34-CR-24-342 against Kayla Rekieta and case against April Imholte
if rekieta walks with no jail time then him winning lolcow over the year over bossmanjack has to go down as one of the greatest robberies ever in the history of this shithole website

Nick lost the second house, a fuckload of time, money, guns & his right to practice law, his church hates him and the kids are scarred for life because they were starved, neglected, drugged & taken away by the state. But sure, this a "slap on the wrist" and life goes back to normal. :cringe:

Your life is already ruined and you don't even know it, legal child. Wait for the knock.
Yes, but the judge didn't order him hanged in public square and his children given away forever! Sometimes things don't turn out the way you want them to.
Checkmate, kiwifags! :really:

The stay of adjudication and the very near sentencing hearing means it's very likely he will have no criminal record in April. He is not a felon.
This is incorrect, the near sentencing hearing is likely to determine what the Diversion program looks like after a Pre Sentence Investigation.

The conviction will be held over his head until he successfully completes the DJ/Diversion program. If he fucks up at any point, and he will, because those terms will 10000% include UA monitoring, counseling, all sorts of shit. If he fails, then the conviction enters and its converted to probation, he can only assure a final dismissal if he can actually keep it together.

I expect this will be a 18-24 month Diversionary period for a felony of this kind.

Yup. Although it doesn't matter. This is the thing once the secrets are out; they never go back in.

Nick's real sentence is people knowing him as a drug addict and alcoholic, with a child mysteriously testing positive for cocaine; a sex degenerate who passed is own wife to the likes of Aaron. As a lawyer, someone with terrible legal takes and not to listen to. Someone who bought cocaine over paying a mortgage, resulting in the loss of a house.

Nick has a life sentence. He is never going to reach those streaming heights again. The chat will never forget. Like all lolcows, he made his situation worse every step of the way. There chances of him not fucking up over the next two years? Slim to none. If the guy resorts to nitrous, he won't stay sober.

Local news has not yet covered Nick pleading guilty. I've been checking. While doing so...

There was a big drug bust in Willmar yesterday (Thursday). I mention this only because. like most of us, @Potentially Criminal is surprised that Kayla's charges were dropped. On his show tonight at 32:43 he speculated on several reasons including that Nick may have given up his dealer.

The timing of the bust - the day before Nick pleaded guilty - piqued my interest. The bust was only for marijuana (several pounds) plus psychedelic mushrooms and those charged are young (20s) but there were lots of firearms involved. Seems like a serious operation.

Drug busts happen in Willmar every couple of months. This is probably a nothingburger but I'll put it here in case.

KWLM Link. Here's the West Central Tribune link but it's the same information.

The addresses are about a 15-minute drive from Nick's home and, as we know, April had a boatload of marijuana in her possession.

Fwiw, I don't see any particular connection between those charged and the Rekietas (church, social media, etc.). I checked briefly.

I know he is not a serial killer or anything. But man. I really hoped the justice will be done for his children. I still hope they will somehow get placed in the hands of relatives or someone who cares. Nick and his gooner drug-fiend friends could rot in their own cocaine-fueled piss.

Going to jail doesn't make you a lolcow or not. The dude has spent the entire year publicly melting down, and the last 3 months talking nonstop about a guy eating his cum. He wins the Stalker Child award at minimum based on his lolcow gold standard tweeting.

All I see is him honestly streaming again regularly. The question is can he do that?
It's almost Chrischan levels of needing to be managed.
It isn’t that bad but yeah. Dude will need to be watched for a long time once all the dust is settled as it’s clear that the household needs one person in there to pay aittention to make sure stuff happems.

Obviously it isn’t going to support the lufestyle he wants to. But hopefully his family or eventual realisation will beat that out of him. Otherwise he will be back here again.

No she didn't, her charging complaint on its face was about cocaine only and the "not small amount marijuana" refers to the statute cited explicitly excluding cannabis, so the bust you're referring to would have nothing to do with this.

What would be interesting to see is if a full legal name for the dealer he followed on Instagram could be found to check if he ran into some oddly timed legal troubles recently, or for that matter a deep dive into recent major coke busts in Hennepin County (where Aaron said Nick's dealer was) for any probable cause statements referring to a confidential informant in any way fitting Nick's description. It'd probably be a needle in a haystack though.

Even if he walks away with no criminal record, that's still the worst pyrrhic victory I'll have ever seen. It's actually impressive how crackets managed to burn every single bridge he had.
In no particular order he's:
Lost the cokewhore.
Lost all of his friends.
Lost the love of his wife.
Lost the sizeable fanbase.
Lost the family trust fund.
Lost the love of his church.
Lost the 2nd baldo bunker.
Lost the love of his parents.
Lost the love of his children.
Lost the ability to practice law.
Lost the connections to streamers.
Lost the good will anybody gave him.
(Read "Lost" as "Thrown away".) and the list goes on.
And then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like "Montegraph is a pedophile"
