I think he's a Czech nationalist and almost all of the positive portrayals in the first game were motivated by that sort of national patriotism, any pro-Christian messaging was purely incidental. Its the same way Czechia is extremely atheistic but loves Jan Huss.

I don't think it had explicit pro-christian messaging either, it was more neutral on it and showed that it was necessary and helped societal stability. In "Madonna of Sasau", Henry can be a true believer or just play along with Johanka's "delusions". The game's antagonists are not good christian men, but the game's protagonist can be and many of the supporting cast are. There are good monks and bad monks, good christians and bad Christians, those who use it to gain power and those who are devout and genuine. Father Godwin takes good care of his people, despite boozing and having a concubine.
The best outcome for the Johanka quest is that she repents, and it is shown that the inquisitor is a devout believer, because he actually believes himself in the end that Johanka was visited by the Virgin Mary. The Inquisition is not depicted as power-hungry zealots, but as devout believers who really think they are doing the right thing... what Christian hater would write such a story?

Christianity drives a lot of character motivation in KCD, it is the whole reason Henry loses his sword in the beginning after all, and is not portrayed as a wholly good or bad thing, just that it was very important to the people back then. That's why I said "fair".

That is fine for you but were are in 2025. Ubisoft is on the brink of collapse and EA just had a 20% drop in stock because they openly added 'woke' content to their games.
