I think you misunderstand the point I am making. After almost 200 years, the Southern cause and the Union cause have come into alignment. What the Union Soldiers were willing to die for in 1865, is now what even a good ole boy Southerner is willing to die for in 2025. I'm not swinging punches at all. I am pointing out that America is a nation of soldiers, and we are a nation that fights for more then just our own immediate benefit or the immediate benefit of our rulers.
