No but seriously, it's also annoying in general. I don't even understand the use case for it. If you scroll past something it's because you're done with it, why auto scroll back up? Is it a default Xenforo feature that is way too difficult to circumvent?

I've had this issue on mobile for years now, and it's really fucking aggravating.

In fact, I just opened a spoiler on this thread, and scrolled far past the post, then the page spontaneously scrolled back up to the spoiler.

My only other issue is the repeated "Disconnected" and "Connecting to chat..." literally every day in the chat.

It's due to the video being HEVC encoded which is a gay retarded video codec with licensing issues galore that limit compatibility to a few good goy browser + OS combinations. This site does a good job documenting HEVC support and the myriad of asterisks https://caniuse.com/hevc

The audio is AAC which has very broad support so that's why it ends up audio-only on Brave. On Firefox it just refuses to play as it freaks out and dies when it sees HEVC even if the audio is playable.

If you ever see this on Firefox, 99% of the time it's due to HEVC

Most HEVC content I've come across on the site has come via TikTok. The solution is to re-encode it as H.264, AV1 would probably work too but I haven't tried it on the forum. Avidemux is my preferred tool as it's easy to just drag a video in and then re-save it with H.264 selected, but you could also use Handbrake or Real and Raw ffmpeg commands.

webm libvp9 has better support and almost as good compression to libx265.
At the cost of 5x slower encoding.

HEVC is getting better FOSS support gradually through the libx265 project. For example, I am running a FOSS browser on a FOSS OS and have no issue. You just have to install it for free.

I used Ublock Origin to disable the chat at network level, blocking:

And it stopped happening. (Brave has a tendency to spike power usage when you change tab or open a new one but that seems to happen regardless of what site you're on).

I don't use chat really at all so it's not such an issue for me but there's clearly something happening in the code somewhere.

Same. Actually remembered this thread existed because it’s happened to me twice today. I don’t know if it’s connected but i have had a similar issue with other forums where if reg was off it would randomly log you off. May be that but I doubt it at the same time.
Are you on mobile or PC?

PC, good to know I am not alone.
 
For over a week now, I cannot choose stickers for the comments that other users leave on my profile, I can only press the "like" button, when I hover over the comments, the option to choose stickers do not appear, only on threads outside of my profile, I have already tried this in multiple devices and none of them work.

Anyone got the same problem?

The bug where you have to provide an invitation code or else it won't let you change any account details appears to be back. This happens both on Safari and Brave.

I eventually got around it by typing 12345.

I generated an invitation code and pasted it in. Somewhat disappointed that my list of referrals doesn't say that I invited myself.

That has been annoying but assuming that never gets improved, for the meantime an easy workaround is described in this post:
