Chinese historical research is the most developed in the world, thanks to China having the most complete form of historical records in the world. In ancient China, historians could record all aspects of a dynasty's history in one book. Therefore, those historians only needed 26 books to record all aspects of China's history from the primitive era to the Qing Dynasty
These books usually consist of four parts
Emperor's History(纪)
The main content is the biographies of all the emperors of this dynasty, the major events that occurred during their rule, and the announcements of the policies they issued
elaborate(志)
The main content is to record the development of the system, economy, military, law, architecture, technology, culture and other aspects of this dynasty, as well as astronomical phenomena, territorial boundaries, and the responsibilities of various official positions
list(表)
The main content is to record the chronology of this dynasty, the family genealogy of the royal family, and the family genealogy of the hereditary nobles
biography(传)
It mainly includes the biographies of all the empresses, imperial concubines, princes, princesses and officials of the dynasty, as well as the biographies of the most famous philosophers, religious figures, local government leaders, assassins, rangers, businessmen, bandits and foreigners of the dynasty. In addition, immoral officials will be included in the Flatters biographies
