It puzzled me to the point of disbelief that our Kevin Allred could have written a thesis titled Modeling, Optimization, and Control of the Selective Plasma Etching of Silicon and Silicon Dioxide at the University of Texas at Austin in 1991.

That's a different Kevin Allred, who now appears to work at Byler Rivet Supply.

The crazy Kevin Allred in our crosshairs "has a Bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and a Master’s degree from UMass Boston, both in American Studies."

My understanding is that he has degrees from Utah State and UMass Boston -- neither of which is a Tier One university -- and was working on a Ph.D. at Rutgers.

The fact that he was a Ph.D. candidate at Rutgers would have been enough for him to get his foot in the classroom door without actually having a bachelor's or master's degree from the university. It's a little surprising that they kept him on as a lecturer after apparently dumping him from the Ph.D. program.

Edit to add: Here you go. He "walked away" from his Ph.D. in 2015. The link is a good read and includes this telling confession: "I’ve been called “downright dumb,” “incapable,” “stupid” by two academic superstars in their field; two world renowned feminist theorists at the top of their game, one of whom pretended to be my mentor for years. ... These names were hurled at me, passive-aggressively, in writing because I broke the rules of academia. Spoke in ways unbecoming of a student."

And: "I’ve been forced to apologize to two different University Deans."

The above quotes were written in June of 2015.

Anyone familiar with academia in the U.S. can read between the lines and tell that Kevin was run out of the Ph.D. program because of his unique combination of stupidity, incompetence and personality disorders.

One final edit: Here's his LinkedIn page, confirming the degrees from Utah State and UMass Boston. He also falsely claims -- or at least strongly implies (shades of Flynt/Wu) -- to have a Ph.D. from Rutgers.
