Venezuela is at the top of the list for issues needing resolving.
The fun fact is that problem might get solved now, Maduro steal was nebulous supported by Petro and Lula thats why he can keep going with it, problem is yesterday Colombia and Brazil bitched about the treatment of their "people" but Petro made things worse for the commie block with his tantrum, Lula was going to make a statement about it but decided to shut up after seeing Petro bend the knee or they were going to be next

Caracas right now is debating to outright call Petro a traitor and lose his support or keep pretending they are friends but with the knowledge that he is a USA lapdog that WILL betray them

The cartels are so used to violence and threats getting their way... why would that change with it being the US? Or the Countries they are deporting -to-? All they have is violence and intimidation, its all they have ever done. And when all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.
The tren de aragua is the most lame and gay of the cartels, they were literally childrens that Chavez and Maduro gave guns and were used to act with impunity because daddy government let them, when they could not find anything to steal here anymore they leaved Venezuela to try the same thing on other countries and immediately started bawling and crying when they actually get arrested or killed specially on Peru when killing them became a sport because deporting them was to much of a hassle

My understanding is that Vonnegut wrote "Harrison Bergeron" as a satire of what he saw as conservative pearl-clutching baseless fears about the slippery slope of egalitarianism leading inevitably toward communism. I'd like to think that if he were still alive, he would have to admit, however reluctantly, that many of the objections he raised were not only legitimate but depressingly prescient.
brave new world was clearly written to be a satire of the genre of utopian literature and the character of john the savage strikes me as a characterization of a mindset very common with extremely old conservatives, people whose strict adherence to aged beliefs led them to a life of ascetic mental poverty and a refusal to engage with society. almost a century after the book was published the same archetype is still visible, essentially the chud, but now they're more likely to be disillusioned liberals and hipsters than starched-shirt conservatives

Ascetic mental poverty? Lol.

So you think conservatism is the result of being insufficiently informed regarding the wonders of collectivism

Counter theory: a paucity of viable sperm induces cuckoldry so that the liberal male may pretend to participate in natural selective processes

If trannies served during Vietnam they'd rot from stinkditch out. It rains for months at a time, you would have to wade though water on a regular basis. Not to mention the heat.

Most trannies can't even exist outside of an air conditioned office and complain when it's too humid for their stringy, over-conditioned hair. I know people who went to Vietnam and it sucked. It just sucked.

Sometimes their balls stop working as a result of the stress as well which I'm sure fucks things up mentally. A vet youtuber I watch talked about going on HRT (testosterone replacement, not test blockers+estrogen) and basically said it was a new lease on life and before he got tested he had no idea he had that kind of problem, he thought it was purely ptsd/depression holding him back

It's a common issue and sadly once you get out and get seen, it's a push for anti depression/anxiety meds instead of doings labs to see if there's anything else going on.

Same issue happened to me, but I got tired of the lathergic zombie feeling combined with unnecessary weight gain. TRT has been a life saver.

"who and what are the enemies of freedom?"
"I don't think you can say who... but I do think first of all there are a number of impersonal forces which are pushing in the direction of less and less freedom"

"There is only one version of this particular thing according to me and anyone who disagrees with me is this ridiculous strawman."

Many such cases. Sad!

Pretty sure that a state/county fair being a ticketed event that happens once or twice a year is not some secret personal definition.

You can insist all you want that the norm for cheap dining in America is fresh bread, fresh potatoes, fresh meat, and handmade sauce, but it straight-up isn't. Cheap dining in America is McDonald's and gas station roller dogs. You can insist all you want that frozen chicken at American sit-down restaurants is a rarity, but there are a zillion shitty Dine Brands chain locations that say otherwise. Only restaurants in the hemisphere where I got served factory-bagged tortillas are in America.

The reality is Kraft, Wonder, Hostess, McDonald's, and other industrialized food brands changed American food culture significantly in the postwar era, and going to the state fair to eat some deep fried bread dough doesn't really change that.

There is a fair in my city that is free to attend, the food is homemade and inexpensive, it's not just fried junk, and I can walk there from my house. I know it is not the only of its kind because there are several similar fairs in cities throughout my state.

I do not disagree that the standard for fast food in America is stuff like McDonald's. If that is what you think I'm arguing with you about here, then I apologize for giving you the wrong idea and being a dick about it. What I am saying is that there are state, local, whatever fairs throughout the USA which are free to attend and have great, cheap food. If you have lived your entire life in a small town or rural area then, yeah, you probably won't know what I'm talking about.

It's beautiful. Companies will now have to work their ass off to get employees and pay them higher wages. So beautiful.
and right off the heels of covid causing the available workforce to plummet and giving average workers the ability to have options and make demands

poor corporations that rely on a desperate underclass and slave labor to pad their pockets. it's going to be a rough four years for them

I've lived in a small town for most of my life. We have fairs every summer with a similar quality of food. I had a wood fired pizza (they hauled the oven with a truck) with homemade dough I watched them make last October. Then I bought ribs from some fat black guy he smoked for 16 hours. total it was about $25.
