The area has about three months in their winter where it’s damp, chilly, windy as (that kind of northern British rain where it just slaps you in the face) and cloudy. Is it a good place to grow stuff? Yes it probably is. Is it fabulous California sunshine? No, it is not.

It's actually quite sad, since a lot of the songs were poking fun at hyperfemininity and were really part of that resurgence in hyperpop, and it turns out it was just a fat, hideous man LARPing as a woman. I'm genuinely upset, I can't explain it.

While trannies definitely did the most damage to the way "queers" are perceived, the blame doesn't solely lie with them. The gay choir singing about them coming for our children was a huge mask-off moment and made me realize that the rest of the acronym deserves hate just as much as the T.
