And you trust it?

General, but likely unnecessary, PSA about pop sci news - they're all braindead bullshit designed to make redditors soyface. Use the articles to get at the original papers (if they even list them) and for nothing else. The original Hollow Earth paper is here - https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-024-08322-y and looks actually interesting. It's also in nature, who's editors tard wrangle researchers into writing things up in a less autistic manner for non-specialists so you're in luck (but also there's a saying "If it's in nature, then it's in-correct).

I have a personal story regarding pop sci journo bs. A while ago me and my colleagues put an April fool's paper on Arxiv (an old tradition among phys/maths people at this point). Some time later, we get contacted by a Popular Mechanics magazine journo wanting to write an article based on our "study".

Now, the first author on the text was made up (with initials reading April Fool's), so was the contact email and the contents were schizo ramblings with the acknowledgement section thanking a local whiskey bar for having a good drinks selection. None of these tipped her off, not even that the date was April 1st. We broke her brain by explaining that the paper was a joke - the reply we got back was semi-coherent, suggesting sanity damage brought by realizations that many of her past articles could've been based off off similar shitposts.

TL;DR - The press are retards. Do not trust anything they say.

I’ve been wanting to make a game, I barely have the first idea how to do it but playing ICE or Trump rounding up illegals and deporting them would be hysterical. You can use your bounties to buy upgrades. I don’t care if someone beats me to this (they will), I need to play it.
You could use one of the S.W.A.T. games as a base. I think it’s got a modding community.

Ex-FBI Agent Johnathan Gilliam on NewsMax talking about JFK, MLK, and Epstein
"when you start releasing some, it'll push for a release of more"
"when it comes to epstein... it'll include a lot of heavy hitters"
"wasn't some rich guy... some time of counter-intelligence operation"
"love it or hate it, when you compromise powerful people it'll compromise his ability to do things that'll help the US"
"[with JFK and MLK] some embarrassing US... Federal agencies might've been involved"
"FBI in charge of investigating FBI not gonna work out well"
"JFK on the CIAs radar... his relationship with other women"
"MLK rumors involving other women (Mlk had a love child pg 23 of the pdf King also held two known orgies. one in January 1964, another on February 1968 according to page 22 of the pdf)"

YouTube is gay as shit and thinks their algorithms know better than you, that's why. Trump needs to reign all that shit in from social media companies, it's just attempted behavioral control.
Then the next leftist president would enforce his own biased rules. However flawed biased media propaganda is I’d rather it not be under the thumb of government.

Fox News and Social Media are pretty much the only mediums where conservative politics is treated with fairness.

It's particularly bizarre when they talk about pricing going up since they aren't allowed to basically use slave labor anymore, because they never say the same thing about other industries like Health Care. When they complain about how broken and expensive the health care industry is they never say "nurses and doctors should get paid less, that would decrease the prices" because that's stupid, they target the CEO and other rich people.

To be fair, I'm not Big Farming's accountant, so I don't know how much profit they will be able to forgo in order to keep the price of strawberries reasonable, but none of the liberals are hospital accountants either and that doesn't stop them from constantly making claims about the profits and inner workings of those companies. At the end of the day, there is a surprising lack of demand for Farming CEOs and shareholders to stop their "corporate greed" that liberals were literally talking about less than one year ago when inflation was getting worse. They will dilute any core belief they have the minute brown people are involved because they all are pathetic white-guilt ridden losers.
you got to admit though repacking systemic corporate corruption as humanitarian necessity is a brilliant move.

decades of illegal immigrant hiring probably has atrophied parts of the american work force. but I really think people tweeting empty work sites and factory lots are afraid there will be enough legal workforce to keep things moving.

This covers the issue much better and explains it clearly. The Earth isn't hollow like in a reptilian conspiracy, there's just likely some massive cavernous areas in the mantle that we didn't realize were there because we didn't really understand how the inner parts of the Earth formed and exactly what they were composed of.
Wonder if there are any dwarfs down there.

Nah, algorithmic control of something you've already subscribed to should be blatantly banned, not controlled for the next guy to fuck with. Not talking about the recommendation algorithms. Youtube blatantly, for years, has done this shadow fuckery where subscribing to somebody doesn't guarantee their content is then delivered to you, making the function of 'subscribing' since this was deployed misleading at best, and fraud at worst. They then added a notification bell to act like they'd somehow solved a problem they themselves generated, and even that isn't 100% reliable. There is no excuse for this nonsense.

There is a fair in my city that is free to attend, the food is homemade and inexpensive, it's not just fried junk, and I can walk there from my house. I know it is not the only of its kind because there are several similar fairs in cities throughout my state.

Living walking distance from a fair that's open 365 days a year is not the norm in America. I've lived my whole life in the Midwest and Southwest and never once seen a year-round fair. The closest is a weekly farmer's market.

I do not disagree that the standard for fast food in America is stuff like McDonald's. If that is what you think I'm arguing with you about here, then I apologize for giving you the wrong idea and being a dick about it. What I am saying is that there are state, local, whatever fairs throughout the USA which are free to attend and have great, cheap food. If you have lived your entire life in a small town or rural area then, yeah, you probably won't know what I'm talking about.

The main point I am making is that the cultural equivalent of Mexican tacos in the USA isn't some gourmet French bistro, nor is it the county fair, it's the hot dog roller at the gas station. Of course, the Quik Trip doesn't have a charcoal grill or handmade buns, and that's why libs soyface over street food and immigrants. The closest thing I've seen that is actually on par, in terms of being cheap, quick, and fresh is the Manhattan walk-up pizza parlor. But that is sadly rare in America, though it wasn't before WWII.

It's not about whether or not you can find freshness at all, it's about the frequency. If I choose a random American restaurant that costs about $15-$20 a plate, so nothing fancy but not fast food, what's the chance that none of the veggies are canned or frozen, that bread/tortillas are made on premise, all the sauces are made from scratch, and the chicken isn't frozen? I'd say in America, you've got about a 20% chance of that, and in most of the world it's more like 80%-90%. But it's not like Third Worlders hold some mystical secret of how to throw veggies in a blender, it's just that Americans inexplicably do not do this.

Incredible things are happening.

She keeps calling them "Immigrants" but she admits they're illegal immigrants. Also, if she's in Texas for her grandfather's birthday, then she's just outed the grandfather as being there illegally, too. Way to go, genius.

Okay fair enough sorry I didn’t understand the prior post.

But how would this be legislated and looked over? I don’t even think we’ve had a YouTuber sue Google for shadow banning and other shenanigans. Closest was that crazy Vegan Iranian girl who shot up their offices.

So, this is awesome. I love seeing him like this, and this is what I want for our nation. But is this not completely insane after Butler? Did the SS vet all the people at that table? On the casino floor?

Maybe after the inauguration the FBI just told him "We did Butler, sorry about that, but now we stopped trying to kill you so just have a good time and don't worry!"

Totally unrelated, but @spiritofamermaid I feel like for days I've been seeing occasional streaks where like 10 of my notifications in a row are you reacting to my old posts. Godspeed catching up with the thread, I believe in you!
Only 100 pages left! I can do it!

All those hecking-wholesome hard-working hispanics! How will we ever get on without them!

Oh wait. . .

Hispanics are the laziest, least on-task people in the work force.

I guess stereotypes are a thing for a reason?

Lazier than niggers?! I legit find that hard to believe....

Donald Trump has been the leader of the United States for the past 8 years.
It hasn't been Biden for the past 4 years. Even though he may have been the formal President, Donald Trump has been the real power broker. It is worse than mind control. Donald Trump can speak directly into the hearts and minds of the American people, especially the violent radicalized subset of militia men and gun owners. Donald Trump controls the GOP and has it under his iron fist. He controls the Supreme Court, he controls numerous State Governments. Donald Trump had more power over the United States while he was being prosecuted than Biden had in his entire career.
This is what fascism looks like, this is American Caesarism.
