Yasuke controversy aside, gameplay aside, shitty historical accuracy aside, I'm not sure what's supposed to be the appeal when this doesn't even have a map of Japan. It's a map of a small swath of Honshu. Doesn't even have the most interesting part of Japan (besides the capitals) in this era, Kyushu. What the fuck is this shit? Origins depicted most of Egypt, at least the important stuff. Odyssey had Greece. Valhalla had England and then a crap ton of stuff besides. This is garbage.

Once again, Ghost of Tsushima really ate this game's lunch. It has it beat on pretty much everything, including open world. This game really should have come out 10-8 years ago.

At this point I think this is because their "experts" don't know diddly squat about Japan and don't want to accidentally include something that doesn't exist that one of their "experts" saw in an anime once(like that promotional sword, lmao).
 
I don't want to double post, but the controversy is heating up. Japanese youtuber Shohei Kondo just had his video removed by Ubisoft
This may become a trend once the game releases, obviously the game isn't taken there seriously and you can bet there will be a lot of people shitting on it on day one.
In related news, the devs recently showed off the game again, and during the play session, the game bugged out when they tried petting the dog. Broken, buggy woke piece of shit confirmed

I have no clue how Ubisoft can make this PR disaster worse, but you can bet they will outdo themselves soon. At this point it's a battle between who can be worse, AC:S or KCD2.
 
While I vehemently oppose the gayshit and niggershit I'm fairly certain the gameplay and RPG systems of KCD2 will be rock solid.

Meanwhile the gameplay of Shadows looks like flaming dogshit. The combat animations in particular look awful, they look worse than Vallhala's and everyone made fun of those for looking like ass.

I've only played 3 and the pirate games, but aren't these games supposed to be about modern people replaying their ancestors' memories? Who in the world is related to both George the Wonder Samurai and Taki from Soul Calibur?

Starting with Origins they just got some DNA from a 2000 year old knife or something which they then put in the animus. They just make up whatever they want to at this point.

IV (the pirate game) was the one that introduced that you don't have to be related to the person anymore. Which, if you're going to do that, might as well just get rid of the modern day entirely. Lots of people hated it but at least it was personal before with Desmond being related to all these guys.

It's basically all a big LARP session, since none of the characters in the past talk, act or think like people from that time period would. Playing any AssCreed game is the equivalent of visiting a renaissance fair in San Francisco - it's full of homosexuals and niggers that can't wait to share their liberal opinions with you.

The biggest crime Ubisoft ever committed was grafting AssCreed on top of Black Flag like a malignant tumor, instead of letting us have a pirate game free of the Western version of Kingdom Hearts.

In terms of talking, yeah, it's really lazy writing. It was always vidya slop as far as that goes.
AC games age like milk (into adulthood) if you genuinely like history.

No no my friend... the biggest Ubisoft crime, was the very open world style that the franchise thrived/languished in.

Tower-climb-to-unlock-map, has been a gaming sin so great that even Nintendo was poisoned by it, and tainted the Legend of Zelda as a result. I blame shallow collectables Zelda, lacking dungeons, story, and music, on Asscreed's former successes. I would sic a bald Vince Vaughn on their hottentot-worshipping asses if I could.
