This was suppose to come out in late 2023 but it got pushed back. I guess they realized the Chinese don't care about an Assassins Creed phone game that plays like Odyssey.

chinese already have a homegrown mobile game market, even PC releases don't make it to the west that often. any phone asscreed would directly compete with that.

Watching the previews and they have thoroughly convinced me that this is, quite possibly, one of the most racist games ever made. Not only for the obvious reasons against the Japanese, but for Yasuke as well.

-Yasuke is apparently depicted as a foreigner with no social skills whatsoever
-His story is extremely truncated, Nobunaga only trains him because he looks like a violent killer.
-He is a big bumbling monster, he can't climb, tears through the environment whenever he lightly brushes against things and can break religious shrines and walls very easily
-Has no subtle skills at all, can only violently assassinate where he shoves his sword through the crotch of an enemy and lifts them upward like he is impaling them with his dick
-Guards will fearfully request he sheath his sword in the open world, but there is no combat AI or wanted system, so Yasuke can savagely murder them with impunity
-Yasuke doesn't follow the creed, so he can violently kill serving girls and handmaidens in enemy strongholds with no consequence, is actively prompted for the violent assassination when encountering them, so he basically rapes young Japanese women with his sword, has no non-lethal methods of dealing with them

If you asked me to make the most racist nigger simulator possible I would probably not make something as extreme as this.

It's a map of a small swath of Honshu. Doesn't even have the most interesting part of Japan (besides the capitals) in this era, Kyushu. What the fuck is this shit? Origins depicted most of Egypt, at least the important stuff. Odyssey had Greece. Valhalla had England and then a crap ton of stuff besides. This is garbage.

Holy shit that’s lazy.
One of the things that stands out so much about Ghost of Tsushima is the trees, like the golden leaf biome that’s beautiful.

Even just IRL I feel a huge difference in small variations of the same biome (humid subtropical forest) I live in as I pass between pine barrens, mountain forest with oak, places with vibrant Autumn, places with vibrant Spring, marshlands of cypress.

A game like RDR2 pulls that off excellently that forest can feel like totally different worlds just from the trees.

So damn lazy. Real shame that nobody makes historical games like this but Ubisoft and Warhorse and Ubisoft has totally blown it three times in a row now (with a mediocre showing 2-3 times before that).

Once again, Ghost of Tsushima really ate this game's lunch. It has it beat on pretty much everything, including open world. This game really should have come out 10-8 years ago.

This may become a trend once the game releases, obviously the game isn't taken there seriously and you can bet there will be a lot of people shitting on it on day one.
In related news, the devs recently showed off the game again, and during the play session, the game bugged out when they tried petting the dog. Broken, buggy woke piece of shit confirmed

I have no clue how Ubisoft can make this PR disaster worse, but you can bet they will outdo themselves soon. At this point it's a battle between who can be worse, AC:S or KCD2.

While I vehemently oppose the gayshit and niggershit I'm fairly certain the gameplay and RPG systems of KCD2 will be rock solid.

Meanwhile the gameplay of Shadows looks like flaming dogshit. The combat animations in particular look awful, they look worse than Vallhala's and everyone made fun of those for looking like ass.
