The confirmation hearing for RFK is going to be a serious make or break moment for Trump.
Smartly, its been pushed back a bit to give Trump time to build momentum and he's been taking advantage of the time to gather strength. As I said in
my earlier post, Trump is well aware of the strength of 'soft' power you accrue by being proactive and 'winning'. He's been laying the groundwork to seem potent, effective, and threatening so when it comes time to 'tard wrangle the party he's got the juice for it. We saw how Hegseth was a tough fight prior to this groundwork, but became part of it by using Vance to buck break Congress right to their face. They've already failed once, and Trump has been winning ever since. That has to be demoralizing.
Its important, too, because getting RFK to cross the aisle was a massive coup. Trump
has to deliver what he promised, otherwise he's going to look weak. Right now he can't afford a single misstep.
