Since no one seems to talk about this, I have to mention the funny double standards on Eva's stupid idea of snuff movies and kidnapping students... The guys are killed and have their organs sold. Meanwhile, the girls become sex slaves. Huh. Seems like those hentais when the male characters are all killed in brutal ways and the (usually minor aged) girls are raped by a pack of orcs.
That's clearly intentional. The entire game seems to be an attempt to parody anime stereotypes (which makes it all the more hilarious when he tries to pass it off as "serious").

I suppose that just serves to show us that there are people even more fucked up than Alex.

Off topic a little bit again but do you guys remember the stolen grass texture ? Well I was watching a let's player on youtube who downloaded the latest build and at some point I saw the supposed "new" grass texture and got curious ; it looked a awful lot like the previous one from Doug Clayton
So I took screenshots and contacted him again and guess what ?

My email with the screenshots :

and his answer :

Now what is he gonna say this time for his defense ?

I can't believe this man. Not only did he steal a fucking grass texture, but even after getting called out by the creator and asked to remove it, he lazily modifies it and carries on using it. I just thought he was going to steal another one from an obscure DeviantArt. Didn't think he would stoop even lower by clinging onto the same stolen texture as if it's some masterpiece that needs to be in the game.

Honestly, I'd think Yandere Sim would be better if the murder was cut out, and you used secrets and rumors and shit instead. I mean, he said somewhere (He said this somewhere else I think, but here's somewhere he said it:
) that the game isn't a normal stealth game, but a "social stealth game," where you hide in plain sight.

When I think of a "social stealth game," I'd think of topics like rumors and bullying to kill, not murder. It's just a horror game, with a few badly placed aspects of stealth. If I were to make it, I'd cut out murder and instead stick to bullying and rumors. It'd probably be harder to properly make, but it sounds (at least to me) more interesting.

Most stealth games stick to being stealthy and murdering others, so a serious stealth game about hiding in plain sight and finding your rival's insecurities and exploiting them until Senpai dislikes them or the rival commits suicide would stand out among the rest.

But, a game like that would take careful planning, and YandereDev has been shown to do a lack of that.

But if there's no murder then it's not going to be edgy enough. And how is Eva going to enjoy his self insert harem game if it doesn't have a girl literally killing and torturing other girls in order to date him Senpai?

A game where it just goes straight to the violence and doesn't pretend to be a fetish simulator. And to think all the teenagers on that thread are calling it a copy when it's a blatant improvement upon the mess that Alex has made. It doesnt lag, it has actual fluid gameplay. It doesnt use some fucking "panty shot, rape dungeon, shower scene" mechanic. As much as the topic of the game is fucking stupid at least it isn't delusional as to what kind of game it is like Alex and his prepubescent fans are. It knows it's a stupid "you're a high-schooler who's edgy mission is to just kill and stuff" game.

Oh, come on now, let's not go overboard. Much as we hate Alex, we shouldn't go head over heels praising some other shitty game just because Alex didn't make it.

Someone who actually played another build game, who played Alex's fetish game is actually finding enjoyment in it lol.

Now the thing about that is the author and not the game itself. It's a stupid as fuck game. But at least it isn't made by a delusional pedophile with an army of teenagers to defend him.
The bar is very very low for "person making a yandere-game that is better than Alex Mahan".

Last time I checked, he didn't remove the stolen grass texture, but it's not being used, so it's just sitting in there.

It just goes to show that Alex Mahan is the George Lucas of indie games; he came up with a good concept, fucked it up by controlling it exclusively, and continues to make stupid exceptional changes and then lie about his accomplishments.

Only difference being Mahan has no talent at all, while Lucas at least knows visuals and can write a workable script if he isn't controlling the project.

Hey now, George Lucas released three good movies off of his good concept. Devpai is still faffing around in pre-alpha.

Point. Lucas is also less lazy, which is pretty goddamn horrifying since he made the Prequels specifically so he could not get out of his chair or experience any discomfort while filming. Alex Mahan is even lazier than the man whose neck goiter is consuming his face since he sits in his chair for so long.

There's a program called "Unity Studio" which makes it easy to look at the files in YS. (If you're interested, I found the program here, and see for yourself; it's fairly easy to use.)
There are a lot of files, and hundreds of "texture2d" files, but typing in "grass" in the search bar will show the old texture, as well as the new one. So, while technically, Alex isn't using the texture, it's still possible to find the texture in the files.

I wouldn't be surprised if he sloppily pasted a grass texture over it as a layer.

Thats why at the beginning I wasn't 100% sure if the "new" grass texture was just a modified version and that's also why in the email I asked Doug Clayton to check the screenshots (screenshots that show the grass is being used in the latest build) and ask for confirmation as he knows the grass texture better than I do.
