Its all about hiding money. $149 counts as a missed goal and is basically a $0 stream for tracking purposes and then $299 only counts as 1 goal and is really only a $150 stream for tracking purposes. He gets to round everything down to either $0 or $150 increments and everything else just disappears.

He could easily hit $1500 in a few days but only counting specific $150 increments towards the goal makes it so that $1500 is really at least $2000 by the time he hits it.
