Trump wants to end FEMA and just give states the funds. Let me remind Alabamians why that is a horrible idea. You remember those state funds given for Covid Relief? Remember how it was suppose to come to us the people?

The funds were misused and widened our prison state problem in Alabama.
Alabama has recently been in hot water over its work release program being used as active slave trade to McDonalds and other chain companies.

It endlessly amuses me how much a cow's language betrays about their psyche.
"What are other countries doing to help me get out?" - Even when she's talking about seeking asylum, she puts all of the onus on the welcoming country. It's not "what can I do to get out of America", it's "who's going to get me out of America?".

I feel like if there was some kind of reality where she'd be accepted into another country to be set up for life by their government, if she had to do so much as take a bus herself to the airport to 'flee' rather than being chauffered, she'd turn her nose up at the opportunity.

I’ll never understand how she doesn’t grasp that she’s in 1 of the best countries in the world to be deliberately helpless.

In a lot, (most), other countries as a person with her list of self described issues, she’d be SOL. No income save what she could beg and she’d have to fight for the better begging spots.

Those countries who do provide generously for their citizens destitute for whatever reason, that ‘generous provision’ still leaves you really tight. Most of those countries are attractive to others and there is no shortage of people wanting in.

And while a certain number of unskilled, uneducated, unemployed and disabled people may be taken in to rich nations every year, that number is pretty strictly controlled and in the case of refugees, there are often quotas for countries of origin.

Most importantly, YOU have to start the process and continue on with it. YOU have to explain why YOUR life and well being are at risk and that has to mesh with what we know of the source country.

I’m a bit of a news junkie and nowhere have I seen any indication of what Polissa is freaking out about. I’m old enough to know that the “camps” theme is ALWAYS in play by whatever specific group of hysterics currently feels threatened.

The sheer lack of logic, especially surrounding the finances required to round up and enslave all those people, never changes.
