Sorry for interrupting the flow, but there doesn't seem to be a particular thread about Rachel Maddow; I saw her on a muted TV last night talking about "RAGE" and the beginnings of a leftist movement pushing back against Trump's policies. Is she basically just a paid political activist, or what?
While she's claiming to have come back for Trump's first 100 days "to speak truth to power", it's more NBC-UNIVERSAL forcing her back full time to justify the increasingly shitty deal she signed a couple of years back.

Her latest deal originally said she could only work big stories she was interested in covering live and her actual time instead would be spent adapting the Spiro Agnew book she wrote to film after the company bought the movie rights to it along with naking documentary films.

This got modified about a couple months into it as her replacements got horrific ratings, forcing her to come back once a week on Mondays.

Then Trump won re-election and MSNBC forced her to take a pay cut and ultimately forced her back full time, as even though her ratings suck, they are better than other prime time shows

Let's say there's a brain surgeon, and he's the only one in the world that can do a very specific operation
That's a dumb argument. If that were the case the problem isn't that this guy should work more, but that more people should be trained in this "very specific operation" that "hundreds of people" suffer from.

I’m so fucking sick of this mentality. A 27 year old is not a child, she’s a grown woman. I personally would never date someone outside of my age bracket, but that’s because I’d have nothing in common with them. This only takes away attention from the actual issue, which is adults grooming and raping children. (Fags and trannies)
I took a look and while it’s gross to me - she is very beautiful, while he has that boiled swollen purple-red face look that I for no informed reason assume means an old dude on Viagra - it isn’t pedophilia lol or grooming. It is in my opinion gross, as in, I wouldn’t watch porn of that. But I’m a woman so can’t watch porn with a guy who is unattractive, which to be fair is most porn lol.

At this point I get some level of enjoyment out of watching late night clips. It's funny to see how many of them seem genuinely distressed at this point. John Oliver and Kimmel especially. It's not just a job for them, they are progressive ideologues and they are suffering.
It's just so pathetic it's funny when you see a dude who used to host "The Man Show" crying on air about Trump.

If you think about this in the really big picture, maybe the idea is to play the long game and extract everyone else's material before your own if possible? Resource depletion is always a possibility in the future and withholding extraction on a domestic level could be a boon. That and ruining a foreigner's environment to get the riches of earth is perhaps easier to sell to the public then telling your own citizens the state or a company it backs will ruin the local environment to extract resources.
This would be my guess.
Fair enough.
They'll just bail. They don't really care about African stability. I think that's what made them so successful. They can just tell everyone "hey man, I just build stuff". While with the US our aid always has some stupid stipulations about fags or women or whatever that everyone is sick of. Most people, even retarded Africans, can understand someone who wants to make a dollar. While the US always has ulterior motives.
It's sort of pointless to work with business leaders in another country if that country won't exist in 20 years. All you get out of it is the raw resources and you burn all good will in that region. It's not a smart play, in my opinion.
I doubt that is true when your only other option is the US which the world hates. For a variety of good and some bad reasons.
Say whatever you want about the US, but our businesses play by the rules far more than China and we are consistent. I don't have it on-hand, but someone can post the /pol/ greentext about the poor bastard working in the Chinese steel industry.

The US is not perfect and some companies may want to fly fag flags, but the money is better, the money is more useful (the yuan is dogshit, USD is king), and there is more interest in long-term business than short-term because poorer countries need the money. Our aid stipulations include long-term diplomatic investment in a country, which is far more valuable because that could mean defense aid. As Robert J. Art put it in 1996: military power is still fungible.

Also, our universities are better. Chinese universities just teach people how to cheat and steal really well. African elites want their kids to go to American universities.

Did the other appointees have to deal with this much bullshit?
Or is RFK getting a special treatment due to their bonus cash from pharma being threatened?
Hegseth had some of the same issues but for RFK Jr. in particular is facing strong opposition from big pharmaceutical company backed politicians and Democrats who don't like apostates.
