Shake my head in mild disappointment and reflect on what it must be like to have a life not well-lived.
So basically be as interesting as the shield bug crawling around on my screen now that I'm not even going to smack. That bug is more interesting than you and I'm going to watch it a bit before clicking "Post Reply."

It just crawled down before "Privacy Policy." Nice.

I'll probably see that bug again. I won't see you, though.

Insanity that EA still isn't shutting them down, Bioware must have naughty pics of Andrew Wilson or something.

To me this reads like EA did a culling and a shot across the bow. If by some miracle ME5 actually comes out it's over for them if it fails.

Yeah I hope this shit trend dies with this decade reaching its mid-point. I've heard people describe that quirky chungus Whedon-esque style of writing endemic of Marvel movies (and every piece of media that apes Marvel movies) as irony poisoned, but I just think it's infantile. Childish goo goo gaga-tier fucking garbage written by troons and manchildren who are as immature as they are unimaginative. These dinguses went on strike when they should've spent that time becoming more worldly.
I just don't get the trendiness of aggressive retconning from the perspective of basic artistic integrity. If you're going to dismiss the preceding material as disposible chud fodder you're just establishing the precedent for your own effort ("effort") being disposed of in the same way a few years down the line. If you actually believe in the messenging of your writing why would you be okay with that?

The role play aspect of their games is good, but at least for me, I have always been insanely bored by the actual gameplay of their stuff, be it the divinity original sin games or Baldur’s Gate, they just aren’t interesting and their combat usually sucks. And I’m saying that as someone who considered turn based RPGs to be his favorite genre
That's because it uses 5e rules, which is just rng.

I've had like 4 turn streaks on bg3 of everyone just constantly missing. But I'm also a pimp who turns off karmic dice

They don't care about creating good video games or writing interesting stories, they see this as a stepping stone to some sort of political/journalist/hollywood jobs in the future. Most of them don't even like video games, I bet.

Bioware's currently facing mass layoffs.

Absolutely. Just a little digging, this woman here is Patrick (Not calling him Trick)'s wife. She's listed as an editor at Bioware as far back as Pinnacle Station in 2009. I found her name in the ME3 credits:
Untitled.png

And also in Veilguard's credits:
Untitled2.png

I wonder if she added the West to her sirname to distance herself from her husband.
I went back over Genna Zerzan's Linkdin and it seems she got fired "Paid Time Off" as well.

I don't see them making Mass Effect 5. I see all the staff being on "Paid Time Off" with NDA's signed saying they can't say they were let go, they were paid to leave. The actual competent people get shuffled off to a new studio, ME5 lingers and when EA sports sales are at a high, they announce that ME5 has been indevelopment for 2 years, has not made sufficient progress and shut it and the studio down.
Bioware really is dead if the lead editor on the most recent game was let go. That's deep cuts considering that Mass Effect 5 is supposed to be an RPG, you know, a long written, dialog heavy space RPG. Wouldn't you want an editor for that?

The spell charge system is also stupid but also from D&D, which has always been one of the worse tabletops despite the mainstream popularity. Lefties invading it only made it worse

How long till shareholders wake the fuck up and realize that companies are violating fiduciary duty in favor of agenda pushing? If you knowingly push commie beliefs in a capitalist market while claiming the returns will be the same you should be fired or jailed.

Why do shareholders put up with this?!

As part of the 10-Q filed with the SEC each quarter they list the risks. Will be interesting to see if they mention it in the next one as part of their quarterly close and investors call on February 4th.

From the same dude, a nice complement to it.

Also. The furfaggification of anthro characters, yeah, you can tell the developers' fetishes by the look of the characters.
They fucking up the anthro characters now? Is no one safe?
