According to CNN the Army has confirmed the crew on the Black Hawk were operating out of Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

And yet, they say that the people that died deserved it, as long as it's the "problematic" ones and not themselves. I'm surprised they haven't started celebrating those deaths by saying the amount of "reduced long-term carbon emissions" those people would provide being dead.
 
They're completely wrong. I live near an Army base, and I see PAT flights all the time, and we don't get generals or congresscritters here. They're usually military versions of a King Air, but they're definitely on ADS-B as PAT<somenumber>, and aren't part of the DC/VA detachment.
