I wish safety and protection to anyone who accidentally rolled on the 'unofficial rp sever' of each datacenter. Y'know, the server in your DC with the most consistent volume of party finder spam ads for nightclubs, ""bath houses"", escorts, thirst ads, and general weirdness. Every server has some, but they have it the most.

I'm looking at you, Hyperion. YWNBAB (You will never be a balmung), but you sure try your hardest. It leaks all the way to my humble little village named after snake-ladies...its own issues nonwithstanding.

There’s people who get into FFXIV only for the mods. They’re allergic to contents. All these players want to do is parade in Balmung with their “perfect OCs” made to satisfy their own fetishes and others’.

The modding part of the game just attracts the most degenerate circles. They see they can make an OC that satisfies their most vile fantasies, and they gladly jump into the game without knowing what it’s all about. X is full of FFXIV people posting their fetish and dick girls screenshots, and some sadly do a very good job at editing, and that’s why it spreads outside FFXIV circle very fast. It’s truly mortifying to witness how many people love that shit.

Mare Synchronos's creator repeatedly states "Do not blindly pair your client with everyone". The admin hates large syncshells and if you stay in them, you should be aware of the ramifications. If you had zero intention of going back to the venue that the modded costume contest was at, just remove the code from your mare. This is something that you can in fact do, and since you aren't pair-to-pair linked, people will never even know that you were a part of that syncshell after you leave it.
Furthermore, this assumes that the hypothetical "Completely SFW Event" nightclub that is being used in this argument decided to use their main syncshell for this instead of making one for the occasion (which any sane person would do).
If, say, this was a Cafe or another venue that is normally SFW and 13+ instead of normally 18+, the amount of alarm that Lominsan Anchovy is attempting to stir up would be warranted.

The hypothetical child is at fault for not leaving the syncshell after the event.
The hypothetical (Normally NSFW but was SFW for this ONE event guys ok) venue is at fault for not using a different syncshell for the event.
The hypothetical parent is at fault for not asking what their child was doing.
The hypothetical friends are at fault for not telling the child for what was happening.
This entire hypothetical is retarded.

Additionally, if you are someone who has already modded your game, you can install the plugin "No Soliciting". This plugin is on the BASE dalamud repo and does not require putting additional repos in the experimental section (Mare and all of the Sea of Stars plugins do), and it removes any and ALL venue ads and RMT spam from the game.

As a general rule, I don't and wouldn't trust ANY XIV content creators because they all more or less turn out to be varying degrees of brainrotted degenerates. This doesn't specifically apply just to the pornsick either, although it's certainly odd how much they overlap with XIV. I'm using "degenerate" loosely to refer to the people who are also brainrotted on XIV's social politics and raid reputation as well.

Despite the fact that now you can just put "ps-hidden" in your lodestone profile and it will no longer be able to track you (like fflogs except their data on you is still visible in other peoples' logs that you were in), some people are panicking over it because "muh stalkers" (actual skill issue), "muh GDPR" (No.), "muh banking information" (Yoshi-P himself has said in his response to this that it can't affect you out of game.), "muh overclingy friends" (They aren't your fucking friends if you actually expect them to use this to look up what you're doing when you aren't on your main.), "THIS IS BAD AND YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD" (I have ERP alts and don't want people to find out that I do.), or a few more excuses to participate in a moral panic.
