If you're 25 and losing hair it's probably hard to find someone to talk to about it that won't take the piss out of you for it. The common meds are minoxidil and finasteride, I believe spironolactone may also be used but I typically see the first two mentioned for men because it can give you moobs and sane men generally want to avoid that. Spiro is also used in actual women for skin issues so it's not as "bad" for women. But minoxidil and finasteride aren't really perfect for men, or anybody, either.
Unfortunately, minoxidil is permanent in that you need to take it forever or it stops doing its thing; never mind that it can be toxic to cats It also has some serious health risks. Finasteride fucks up hormones for men and women and can cause permanent, irreversible side effects.
