They still got their kids back, tested positive again shortly after, and the parents were given another chance for custody. Here's the transcription:

Not just the state. An unexpected very high reading on a kid, far, far outside environmental levels? The lab will have immediately run a second test off it's own bat after checking and restandardising the chromatograph.
