That ME5 will be total garbage and flop is a certainty. I don't understand why some people entertain the idea it will be a good game. After ME3 and Andromeda I honestly don't understand why anyone even cares if there will be a new ME game or not.
Being hyped about ME5 is like being hyped about "oh man, I am so hyped about the new all-trans Terminator movie. I think it's gonna be great!"


ME2 was great, ME3, was pretty bad, Andromeda was total shit. It was "Ride to Hell: Retribution" levels of shit.
The trend is clear and it is not like the writing quality at BioWare is improving over time, rather the opposite.

It is 100% guaranteed that ME5 will be really really bad. And people are so much uninterested in ME5 that I suspect there will, as usual, be a massive campaign about "far-right bigots hate this game" on twitter. Because otherwise no one would be talking about this game at all.

Bioware's last game that had good sales figures was DAI in 2014 and with ME5 probably not launching until 2029 at the earliest we're looking at 15 straight years of losses probably totaling in the 500+ million range.

EA is going to want launch sales in the 10-15 million range at the bare minimum and unless you're GTA no one gets those kinds of sales.

Tldr even if ME5 is good it might fail.

Other than the Weekeses, it seems the entire writing team for Failguard got the axe. (Archive) Good fucking riddance to braindead trash, learn to mine coal, etc.

At this point I'm just glad I only bothered to buy the first DA game. Wish I could say the same for Mass Effect, but even more than that, I just wish this means the rumor that Bioware's going to be shut down in February is true and that EA will do the first decent thing in many years by finally putting this walking skeleton of a studio (the last of the flesh must've rotted away long ago) to eternal rest at long last.
