I mean, I'm pretty sure it's all scams and money laundering under the guise of libtard imperialism.
Honestly it's probably a complete coin toss if it's that or genuine activism of some kind. Expecting accountability and logical use for the wealth (be it freshly printed cash or tax revenue) the American government sends to entities and organizations around the world is a hard ask, especially for the discrete stuff that doesn't get talked about much.

Very likely off topic (I’m pages behind) but does anyone else wonder what the procedure is for telling officials about an accident like this? Obvs your fender bender doesn’t make it to the ears of the President but what would? If this happened anywhere else would Trump have been woken up (assuming he was asleep - doubt) and who makes that call? I’ve got a picture in my mind of CNN getting the news first and Trump seeing it on the telly. There must be a dude who gets the call and makes the call to summon the Big Boys in to a meeting. I like to think it’s an organised and highly structured procedure of notifications but sadly I’m old and realise that, like the rest of life, it’s probably chaos. Fun to think of all the Secret Service pagers going off and someone having to go in and fetch Pete Hegseth out the bar and find him a clean suit. Do they keep a change of clothes at the White House just in case of emergency? Does JD need to borrow a tie?

I guess what I’m saying is that on a less serious occasion I’d love to see behind the scenes, just how many people were involved between the accident occurring and the Press conference and who they are. Whose phone rang first and what did they do next?
Pres, and other very high up people, will have a general list of what warrants an off-duty call. The Pres isnt really ever "off duty" but yeah. This happened before the evening news so he probably got a call right away. Or fucking heard it if he was home.

If this had happened in Kansas instead, and media coverage was a little slow? It would have gone up the FAA chain and the FAA would contact the White House on the side of the commercial flight. On the military side, if it had just been a regular chopper crash it might be buried in the back of some report for the next morning. If it had been a large military transport, or in this case smashing into a bunch of citizens, it would have gone up the chain to SecDef who would have contacted the White House immediately.

Each morning the Pres gets a binder with a briefing of things that happened over night, and the previous day, along with that days schedule etc. Had no one decided to wake him up etc, he'd read about it over his morning coffee.

It really depends on the leader, and the staff working off hours on what they want to be woken up for... I take it Trump would never be upset over being woken up for something involving his people. Even if he had something important to do the next day like a meeting with Putin and Zelensky...he'd just say "you know this is very important but I was woken up last night about something just as important. a great tragedy..".

Speaking of leader types... Look up General Mattis working on Christmas....

"Durr. Why didn't they just not crash? NOT GOOD!!!!11"

I can almost hear him smacking his chest making drooling retard noises while writing it.
A leader's job is to figure out WHY something bad happened, so it does not happen again. Raising the question "Why?" as the most powerful man in the world gets people looking for answers. "Thoughts and Prayers" alone gets people bowing their heads and moving on. Do you want more plane crashes?

The base assumption is the accident has to be A)big enough to require significant first responder action, B) tragic enough to require a policy response from the government, or C) happen on their front doorstop.

It may come as news to congressmen but as a human being you're supposed to change your mind when new information is presented.
"I didn't like this guy before but circumstances changed and I actually don't mind him anymore" is actually a very understandable stance to have and I'm upset that none of the nominees will just say that.
But then again this is just a humiliation ritual so there's no point, i guess.

Dumbass Hirono reading some gay ass statement about twitter bullying like some 10 year old little nigga, sheeeeit.
If you shined a flashlight at one of Hirono's ears the light would come out the other side, undiminished. She is one of the dumbest and most fucked-up people in Congress, far worse than AOC, Hank Johnson, etc.
