Vance sounds pretty based on the 2A and ATF. Im wondering if theyre saving the 2A stuff in their back pocket?

What gives you that impression?
Also watching the Kash Patel confirmation hearing back to back with Tulsi gives a great example of what I mean by "tightly controlled" and "slightly off".
They are both asked essentially the same question about 702 and whether a warrant is needed or practical.
Tulsi says that her job is just to uphold the law, and I get the impression she errs more on the side of wanting a warrant but doesn't say that.
She repeats the same carefully worded line multiple times, even when she gets push back that congress will ask her as to her opinion as DNI to help guide their direction. She still does not answer.
Kash is asked the same question about whether a warrant is needed or practical and he cites his experience with the topic, and how warrants are not practical and during e.g. a hostage situation in real time can be a hindrance. He also says, however, it can be abused and he's open to working with congress to find a practical alternative.
Kash's response shows not only confidence in his own belief but also knowledge on the topic and a willingness for that belief to be known by the committee.
Every nominee of course has questions they gave carefully worded non-responses to, that were clearly scripted, but Tulsi seemed to have the most out of all of them. To me this either indicates a lack of confidence generally, knowledge her opinions will not be popular, or wanting to get through it without giving them much. Perhaps just inexperience with the topics at hand - maybe that's not a bad thing if she is a quick study and willing to learn on the job. Or something else I'm not considering.
Edit: Possibly just being more on guard and more careful than the others. I'm not suggesting it's nefarious. Just making notes.
Just found the contrast interesting. I'm not discounting her ability to do the job she's a nominee for. Again, with Tulsi in particular, I'm assessing far more in terms of her future aspirations. Kash is not going to run for VP or president, and RFK Jr already tried and failed.
