Just remember that Trump pushed that retarded bump stock ban after the Las Vegas shooting. Trump may be doing his best to fix the country right now, but he is not the friend of the 2A.
That's because somebody may try to successfully Luigi him a third time. You think a NYC real estate developer is pro-gun?

While I catch up, Remember you should know who your congressmen are. I don't care who you support in this confirmation hearing. You should write your senator depending on how you feel. These picks are huge for both bipartisanship and getting important changes to this country. After hearing both RFK Jr. and Tulsi I've never felt more whitepilled tbh. As someone whose wanted changes to agriculture, big pharma, dangerous environmental pollution, electronic spying, over-politicized intelligence agencies, these are your picks. These are issues I've had with the US government that I never thought a republican president would answer.
Sadly I’m Californian and my congresswoman is busy bitching about Ice raids in the region. So there’s no point in barking up that tree

This could be seen as a democrat victory? Maybe if they thought for one second they could see this as a chance to rebrand a little.

It's a feature. European stock can get too uppity when they notice things so they are bringing in 3rd worlders who are more controllable and letting them boom for a few generations. Their long term plan is let the migrants grow to be a sizeable ratio of the population and hopefully after a while the pressures that slowed white population growth would slow theirs down too.
That just throws everyone into the bronze age, even the rulers.

A while ago I was trying to do research on a theoretical self-contained city which possesses all the technology and manufacturing capabilities to sustain it's population at the level of a 21rst century first world (or second world) city, including the manufacture of medications and computer chips. This city could function even if it is the only inhabited place on an arable planet rich in natural resources, such as a space colony on an earth-like planet. The eventual conclusion i came to is that no such city exists in the NATO sphere or it's allies.

These rulers insisting on reducing the world population are acting under the assumption that such a city exists, and that they can keep it isolated and stocked with intelligent and hardworking individuals who can continue to make the technology (medial, transportation, computers, etc) necessary for their world to function.
This city doesn't exist. everything they need to live comfortably (or at all) is scattered across the entire world, who they are hell bent on stocking with idiots that cannot operate or make the technology. And without that technology, those elites will find themselves living in a dark age full of chamber pots and deadly diseases.

Vance sounds pretty based on the 2A and ATF. Im wondering if theyre saving the 2A stuff in their back pocket?

What gives you that impression?

Also watching the Kash Patel confirmation hearing back to back with Tulsi gives a great example of what I mean by "tightly controlled" and "slightly off".
They are both asked essentially the same question about 702 and whether a warrant is needed or practical.
Tulsi says that her job is just to uphold the law, and I get the impression she errs more on the side of wanting a warrant but doesn't say that.
She repeats the same carefully worded line multiple times, even when she gets push back that congress will ask her as to her opinion as DNI to help guide their direction. She still does not answer.

Kash is asked the same question about whether a warrant is needed or practical and he cites his experience with the topic, and how warrants are not practical and during e.g. a hostage situation in real time can be a hindrance. He also says, however, it can be abused and he's open to working with congress to find a practical alternative.

Kash's response shows not only confidence in his own belief but also knowledge on the topic and a willingness for that belief to be known by the committee.

Every nominee of course has questions they gave carefully worded non-responses to, that were clearly scripted, but Tulsi seemed to have the most out of all of them. To me this either indicates a lack of confidence generally, knowledge her opinions will not be popular, or wanting to get through it without giving them much. Perhaps just inexperience with the topics at hand - maybe that's not a bad thing if she is a quick study and willing to learn on the job. Or something else I'm not considering.

Edit: Possibly just being more on guard and more careful than the others. I'm not suggesting it's nefarious. Just making notes.

Just found the contrast interesting. I'm not discounting her ability to do the job she's a nominee for. Again, with Tulsi in particular, I'm assessing far more in terms of her future aspirations. Kash is not going to run for VP or president, and RFK Jr already tried and failed.

Apparently, he was one of the few to have a concealed carry permit until they took it away from him.

100% tariffs on BRICS if they try and adopt a new currency:

Any chance he'll bring the payment processors to heel? I'm reading some stupid shit they're doing in japan in the censorship thread, and trust and the ability to acquire the dollar seems key to keep it as the reserve currency.

That had nothing to do with it since that happened during his first term. He was responsible for Red Flag Laws as well, something many people forget.

Nope, they will be busy raping children on private islands and doomsday bunkers they bought or build while the general population is busy dealing with death, famine and niggers. That's why they don't care about the economic collapse and are more than willing to spend soon to be worthless monopoly money to advance their agendas now, instead of thinking long term.

They are likely keeping it as a motivator for midterms.
I'm not convinced. Trump is very much not doing the "Sit on key issues for political weaponization" play, the last ten (jesus christ, really?) days have overwhelmingly proved as much, and neither are his people. Doge is already getting shit chopped and reviewed, that one fucking general who's names escaping me got the boot, and those are all just trump influenced. They really might just take an axe to some of the 2A issues the same way as everything else, while they feel the momentum is still with them.

So City of Ember type scenario? The bunkers won't last that long.

They will last long enough for the population to go back to the stone ages. They won't care, they will have enough resources to keep themselves happy for years to come and you will never find them. Anyone who thinks the elites will also eat the bugs and live in pods are insane, they have the good food stockpiled while giving us the garbage. It's always about making the peasants suffer while they get to live like royalty, nothing else matters.

i see you too are an enjoyer of horizon: zero dawn.

ICE didn't post any enforcement update today.
maybe they got so many they're still counting.

So to reiterate, a bunch of narcissistic rulers stuck together in the same place having to agree on everything from food management to quiet hours. it will not go well.
