Casual being opened up again made the game so much better, teams with different skill levels is so much more fun to play. Dane servers were all I played for a few years and they sucked hard but at least people tried to finish the maps unlike most other community servers. His servers always had the same results on every single fucking map, attack hard rolls unless they got unlucky enough to have a fresh install or two. Made the game incredibly boring to play as without crits those gibus scouts were functionally anchors so getting crit killed by a noob on casual actually makes me feel good now.
 
what i won't preach to the choir for is the fact that the other extreme is as bad as compniggers since it demands everything to be as cancerously op as possible, gabber is a peak example of this since he defends sniper and demands everything (even weapons that are very good like the detonator and the scorch) to be buffed coz he's basically shit at anything that isn't (and even by then he's overly reliant on crutches) scout or sniper.
I remember this nigger gabber said that the scorch shot is the only good pyro secondary. The thing with e-celebs is that their orbiters blindly agree with any and all bullshit they pull out of their asses. Castaway isn't perfect either, some of those weapons were actually busted

God I hate compfags because several weapons I used to love are utterly unusable now if you want to get anything done. I loved old sandman and I didn't even cleaver combo with it, I used it as an "oh shit I'm about to die" panic button at worst. Caber discourse is done to death so no need to reiterate. Same for the Bison. Loch-n-Load was actually fine once they removed the random damage spread mechanic. Old Panic Attack was unique and fun for gimmick playstyles when it was closer to a shotgun Beggar's Bazooka. The speed-boosting Heavy melees are a fucking disgrace now and they were balanced at worst if not downright bad already (seriously nobody used the knuckles except to roleplay as animu protagonists). I am by no means an OG player but I very fondly remember how much more fun the game was when Love And War dropped. Total Compie Death.

Heavy mains have never been the same since Valve started inappropriately touching their class with Love & War.

Now all of the nu-TF2 players call him a "boring and shit class," when he didn't used to be that way.

People shit on jungle inferno but it reverted the utterly retarded l&w minigun nerf that I alone as the sole heavy main had to endure.

I love revert servers but they always include the completely trash love and war minigun balance. I'll suffer through pre nerf sandman but not with a useless fucking primary
 
The only argument needed for the caber is that, while being able to one shot medics is ass, it was fucking funny.

By the way, random question: why does the Soda Popper no longer mini-crit? I remember really liking it back when it did, and being disappointed when I started playing again.

Because scout (already a very strong class) shouldn't have the ability to deal 280 damage in 0.3 seconds and still have both of his other slots free for finishing off his target/getting out before anyone realizes what's going on while suffering no debuffs whatsoever.
 
I miss the days when you could help your team by using bonk and distracting the sentries (or just back capping if you want to be as annoying as possible). Now if you try to help out your team, you are stuck at walking at heavy's move speed (good luck surviving that). Definitely one of the most anti-fun nerfs Valve did. Fuck Jungle Inferno and whoever worked on these balance changes

If by the time bonk runs out there are enemies after you, something went wrong, and even if it did — just strafe, thanks to source spaghetti you can mitigate most of this slowdown. I don't defend Valve's anti-fun balancing, but the most this non-nerf does is that it gets unwise scouts who think that they're the smartest person on 2fort kukri'd to death in the spiral.
