I don't even have to use Brave for YT. My adblocker extensions in Chrome and Firefox all seem to work fine.

The only thing that annoys is the YouTube app cos I can't do anything about the ads there but I try not to use it much.

Blocking ads on Youtube is hilariously easy. The problem is it's becoming a more broken experience as a VPN user. Freetube's great, but a lot of the time I get a throttled 360p version or IP blocked altogether. I get better luck if I'm connected from fucking Bangladesh or some shit because Jewgle seems to blacklist more and more VPNs. Spending less time there as a result.

The day they start embedding ads into the video streams themselves like Twitch though I'm out.

Wait till you find out what tv makers have in store for us. All smart tvs requiring internet hookups (or they boot loop) and ads in 3rd party content feeds. (games, cable boxes, dvd/br etc) Some are already doing it, hardly anybody sells normal non smart TVs anymore and there are patents for inserting ads in like i just talked about. Spelled out.. Like in games they want to insert ads when you pause. Sucks to be you if it's an RPG with important menus or a fighting game with move sets etc.

Or it's an ai generated image of mavis dracula advertising an ai chat bot app.

We're living in the south park special "not suitable for children." Only replace influencers, prime, only fans, and social media with ai art, ai chat, ai generated slop, and ai hen Tay mobile games.

Invidious used to have some instances that let you download the audio-only of videos or the entire video itself, but they were wiped out a few months ago with one of YouTube's tard-rages.

NewPipe is for Android-only, but there are so many different forks of it like Sponsorblock and PipePipe that there is a certain degree of redundancy with the client.

Otherwise, if you do a quick search online, you can find many websites that will allow you to download audio or video from a YouTube URL.

Yeah the ads are getting really fucking weird now. I got an Ai ad claiming if you rub your dick with salt it makes it grow 12 inches. Then then there are these ads where women are fingering themselves but the video is cropped. You can still HEAR everything though. I tested somthing out I made a new account using while using a virtual machine. Guess what? I get the same fucking ads. I don’t even feel comfortable pulling up a YouTube video while I’m with my GF. Going forward from here I only use Adblock

This has happened to me at least 4-5 times:

Start playing some YT video on my phone to listen to while I shower.

As soon as I get in the YT Gods somehow know I am showering and start playing a Dr Squatch ad.

The ad seems to have no end, I don't want to flood my bathroom by getting out just to skip the ad so I just try to ignore it.

The ad ends up lasting pretty much the entire shower.

You know, it's kinda odd how a support AI could actually be trained to say all the right things, dig the right documents, and maybe even regurgitate a niche speech made by the VP at some point to a genuinely interested consumer. Instead, we get robotic replies.

Not an ad, but YT Premium is just a universe of good content, I find the price worth it for no ads.

lol do you even know what a VPN is? You'd still have to log into your gay Jewtube account every time you switched servers, but congrats on a better experience because you gave pajeets some money. There's tradeoffs when you care about opsec, but ads isn't one of them. Freetube works fine.

I think the worst I have seen it was in Wipeout HD way back on the PS3. They would sometimes slip ads into the loading screen and PURPOSEFULLY make the loading bar move slower so the whole ad can play. It is fucking diabolical and I hope whoever came up with that is dead in a ditch somewhere.

If they do that, it will become expected for the company to be responsive and not weasel-word and lie about things. They don't want that because then people will actually be pissed enough to do something instead of just get mad for two seconds and then continue using the product. They know no one is going to leave their site the way support is now anyway, why risk changing that? It's not like there's anyone else to go to.

What the hell is even the point in keeping the COPPA crap from 2019 if they're just going to allow this shit? Definitely using freedom tube now I don't know how I haven't heard of it already.
