We're never getting a non remake, re-release VN from Type Moon ever. Red garden still has a chance, it's part of tsukihime
I doubt Nasu could ever top Ataraxia. Avenger and Caren's fucked up personalities/conversations and him giving the answer Kirei wanted while acting as a proxy for the audience when he confronts Bazett can't be outdone. That final conversation is pure soul, and the entire main story is a heartfelt message to people in general and who particularly liked the original Stay Night a lot.

I hope to read it soon... when they release it, because that's happening now lol. Probably will need patches, but I'd just be happy for it to be available

Anyone read the blade and bastard manga? its pretty nuts. Light novel was written by the same guy who wrote the Goblin slayer light novels.

I did, I actually own the first volume. I think it's pretty interesting, and a good break for Kumo Kagyu. It's neat seeing him write outside the GS bubble. He still has his shit.

Any news on when the next chapters/volumes for it are gonna get released? or have they already been released and no ones translated it?

The worst part of a lot of manga or fiction in general is when a side character starts vastly becoming more interesting than the main character and the author doesn’t fucking make a spin off or realize that the main character needs to get a personality or can actually fuck off from the story.
The Iron Law of Harems is that 99% of the time one or more of the losing heroines is way more interesting than the obvious winner.

Flcl was my introduction to anime outside of stuff like pokemon and the pillows elevated it from a great show into something truly special. The mood there music evokes was something so dear to me and i can't imagine my childhood without it.
To quote that one sealab 2021 theme comment its "one of those kinda things that when you hear it you feel sad that this part of your life has passed"

I think the last game underperformed and they invested in a failed gacha so it's probably doomed.

There had been way too many series killed by gacha, every dumbass in management thinks that they can get people to dump thousands of dollars for waifus that last appeared 20 years ago. Or alternatively trying to make an original gacha in a market already heavily saturated.
I remember when we had to watch our favorite franchises get turned into pachinko machines.

Now they get turned into doomed gacha games.

At least Pachinko machines aren't that big of an investment. Japs somehow spend millions of dollars and tens of thousands of hours on implementing the most Flash game looking gacha games that, if they fail, dooms the entire franchise, if not the studio. I'm still amazed Nippon Ichi didn't die from the Disgaea gacha debacle.

I wouldn't be surprised if 95% of the code in those games is about networking to make sure no one breaks it and *gasp* gives himself infinite fake credits.

The Pillows have disbanded :( (had no idea they were still together but damn).

They were one of my all-time favorite bands, and I'd recently got into a huge Pillow kick, even managed to get (through piracy, obviously) pretty much all their material, even the rarest singles and b-sides and collab albums and almost all the solo work from the members.

I'm devastated by the news (I mean, as far as you can be by something not strictly personal); hell, I got it before it was public, a member of a Telegram group about the band, who lives in Japan, broke the news to us before the official announcement or even before the nips started talking about it on social media.

Their last concert was reportedly a bit strange, because they played none of the hits, but exclusively more obscure songs. People had commented this felt weird, and one day later, the news came out.

I had expected at least one more album out of them, since they put out a single last October. It wasn't amazing, and it was even called Blank, so maybe it should have been a sign.

Well, god dammit. Never got to see them live.
I don't really have other Japanese bands I like on this level (or much at all, really. Only some instrumental bands like Special Others. Or I only like a handful of songs, like with Larc en Ciel or Frederick).
Hell, I don't have many bands in general I like on the level, and those I do are dead or changed irrevocably by members' deaths (Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Blind Melon), turned shit and/or pozzed (Tool and the other Maynard projects), or at risk (Queens of the Stone Age, because how many more times can Josh Homme escape such close brushes with death?).

Is this what getting old is?
