Mega Rad Gun Thread

What other forums do guys frequent to discuss firearms and related subjects? /k/ is cooked. There's reddit, where the quality of conversation varies greatly depending on the sub. I've gotten better info from certain subreddits than on /k/ though so that says something. I check arfcom rarely. Still some good conversations there, but it seems like arfcom's slowed down a bit in recent years.

Seems like a lot of firearms chit chat has moved to Discord and Telegram, at least based on my current experience.
I go on Brian enos's forums every now and then. It's more competition focused so more people there actually shoot the guns they're talking about.

There's really no reason to get anything other than a p365 or hellcat in that form factor. P365 also has a 380 version which is very fun to shoot. Feels like a 22 basically no recoil (you can also get a 380 kit for a 9mm p365 now). I feel the 380 is worth considering with Lehigh defense rounds if you want a pretty fun micro compact to shoot and the complete absence of recoil is nice.

In my opinion the Hellcat has a much better factory design for controls. The slide release and mag release are great. The p365 (I've only shot a 380 so can't speak to the 9mm recoil difference between hellcat and p365) has a subpar slide release and mag release from the factory. The mag release particularly is so small and needs pushed in so much it was basically unusable for me to do reload drills quickly. Armory craft extended ones are in my opinion way better. I do find the hellcat a bit snappy, I carried it for years. Accurate gun, but definitely not always the most fun thing to shoot.
I can't shoot anything smaller than glock 19 sized stuff to save my life, so guns like the smaller p365s and 380s are out

I would consider that better than "pretty good", I would jump on that, and I'm not even in the market for another CZ75.

Edit: Just checked prices, I guess that is just "pretty good" unless its an Orange.
It's a blue and grey. Fell in love with CZ with the new p09c nocturne. Some people say they've had constant issues, But after mines break in period it runs flawlessly

Try the p365 380 with the 12 round extended mag for more grip. 9mm micros are snappy assholes. The 380 one literally feels like a 22. Just rent one if you see one to rent. Can't hurt.

Not in the year of Our Lord 2025.
Your video is not working too well for me. But it's pretty normal for the striker to rattle when it's not cocked on a micro like that. My Hellcat also does it. Maybe there's more rattle than that. I can't hear it too well on my end. I'll try to watch it again later. The p320 and the p365 are completely different platforms. I absolutely would not buy a p320

P365 is a pretty good design, in theory. I'm pretty sure the fuckery only starts as the parts begin to wear. The rattle started around 6,000rds. When you do get to hear it, you'll ask yourself "wtf"?

It is according to Sig, the take down lever. The rattle is harmless but can't be fixed because it is a result of the polymer frame wearing.

According to Sig.

They did offer to replace the frame. I just got a Glock instead.

Interesting. I hadn't heard about that one yet. I mean if it's the frame that's not terrible for 6,000 rounds for a $50 part replacement basically. I'm surprised more things hadn't broken on it by that round count. I wonder if the Wilson combat frame would wear out like that

I will also say that, as far as all MY tests went this wasn't a safety issue. I am pretty sure it was indeed the take down lever.

It was however an excellent demonstration of how Sig guns lack the quality to be taken seriously.

A polymer striker fire pistol should last tens of thousands of rounds.

Buy Glonk.

9mm is meta. If you can't handle it the obvious answers are user error and get better. My 43x is flawless.

If I had to choose between Sig and Turkshit, I at least know what I get with Turkshit.

Truth. 9mm is also cheaper to train with than .380 and is more powerful. As much as I can't shoot subcompacts well, the shields do not have as much recoil as I'd expect. Meanwhile the ruger and hellcat I shot were snappy as fuck.
.380 exists in this day and age because sometimes you need a gun with capacity while wearing a suit, that fits in a pocket.
