Then some of it is easier to swallow simply because of the context of the rest of the game and it's location. Of course there's fag prostitutes and brown people in Vegas. That's not really out of place.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that, if anything it's delicious irony considering how Legion treats women. If there was some gay feminist agenda here, then the Legion would let you fight in the arena as a woman and become that "omega badass" yourself. You can't do that, as it is clearly against the rules. In fact, the incidental dialogue with most NPCs at the fort is about how ridiculous that a woman is there in the first place or whispers that Legionaries want to rape you, and you just have to deal with it.
As a whole New Vegas is rather grounded compared to what we have today, it doesn't really have anything other games didn't have at the time, except for maybe more open gay characters(which weren't a cudgel to hit the players over the head with, as we see today). People need to stop picking little tidbits apart based on what they are, and ask themselves "why are they there?". Fallout 2 had a black female leader in the form of Lynette(one of the most hated NPCs in the franchise btw). Was Fallout 2 woke? No. If the intent is to virtue signal something or to check a DEI box, then it is definitely woke.
There is still ideas you can implement that would normally be called out as "woke" and put them in good taste without torches and pitchforks. Well, I say, you can but in this political climate, doubtful, maybe in a more normal society like we had 15-20 years ago. What I'm trying to say is that it's going to be painfully obvious, regardless of context, if and when someone is trying to shove something into the game that isn't there, I don't think a purity test of some kind for every game is required.

I don't really see this as woke as it's still inline with how the games universe works as normal humans should have zero chance against almost everything that happens in the series and even 1 allowed you to be a female vault dweller. She shouldn't however be able to win such a fight, but if it was say unwounded female soldiers in the universe it seems inline.
If you wish to argue that the universe itself is woke because females can do things beyond their physical capabilities irl you are free to, but I would like you to pick what should be a man's maximum capability in such a setting so you can set the female's as well.

A woman whoever probably shouldn't be in a legion fight pit though. If this scenario was also in some historical game I would agree it's woke and beyond retarded.

They went down the misery rabbit hole of chasing the same boogiemen as the people they are so against. The only time people realistically swear off woke shit is for extreme levels of it where the product is legit built with it as a foundation (most of the obvious shit like Dustborn, Concord, etc) but there comes a time where the tiniest bit of it raising the alarms for these clowns. People acknowledging it and still liking the product gets them labeled because they're not taking a side in the "war". The thing about NV is that it is the type of game both sides will claim they want but will never accept it now. It's there but doesn't press it deep into your throat and even the existence of its more woke/leftist elements doesn't detract from the full experience of the game (Synth pointed this out of course).
