Just had some union guy come to my door to tell me to sign something over Trump allegedly attacking the working class. Never got this once during the Biden presidency, and it’s telling they only have the energy to “fight” the establishment when a Republican is in office. I don’t hate unions as a concept, but so many have become corrupted over the years, to a point where it’s only the union leaders that benefit the most rather than the workers themselves.

I'm starting to think half of these crashes are on purpose.
Why? There's no indication malfeasance was involved at all in either flight. So far it appears incompetence caused the helicopter crash and excessive icing and loss of usable control surfaces caused the second. It crashed at high speed into a gas line, causing the explosion.

Whatever the case is, someone is probably losing lots of money on cancelled flights right now.
Why? People aren't booking helicopter or medical charter flights from Spirit, United or Southwest.

Maybe they are just reporting them more? half of media manipulation is deciding what is news.
Yup. Not including the PA crash, but counting the helicopter (since that's what's posted on the site), there have been eleven major accidents or crashes in 2025 already.

The only thing slightly unusual about these two crashes is they happened on American soil, and our useless press always creams its jeans when something falls out of the sky and kills people in the continental U.S.

Edit yep that appears to be the case 2024 was apparently the deadliest year in aviation since 2018
Aviation accidents happen all the time on global level but the two big factors to consider currently are:
1. They usually don't happen in the United States, especially not on the scale seen in the Black Hawk-Bombardier collision in D.C.
2. Smaller but similar disasters that occur after a bigger one have increased scrutiny on them.

I love Trump 2.0. His admin dishes out a pound of pettiness for every ounce of liberal smugness from the last 8 years. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a detailed list of slights hiding away somewhere
At this point I am convinced Trump is secretly a warhammer fantasy dwarf, complete with a book of grudges. Now he's going down that list like he's the fucking high king and making sure every wrong is righted.

Is my Budweiser stock going to tank because of these tarrifs? Or does Anheuser-Busch source their cans domestically?
Almost every aluminum can produced in the US made by Ball, which is based in Colorado. You can pick up every aluminum can you got and they most likely will have the Ball logo somewhere on it. They also produce all their beer locally as it doesn't make sense to liquids long distance. Same with soda, soda is produced regionally as it cuts down the price tremendously vs shipping across the US.

I think you’re right. And he’s doing it with extreme prejudice.

I know of at least one guy in the NYC music scene who is definitely pro-Trump. They exist but keep it close to their chest.
many such cases in the tech, finance and other professional industries where men have been forced to tolerate feminine HR bullshit for years

Lots of them now registered in swing states due to WFH. Not a small factor in Trump's dominating win

I would've laughed in his face, told him to kick fucking rocks, then slammed the door.

To be fair people on both sides don't see the other side as Americans or humans and it's almost like spending 20 years demonizing your own nation and saying your race/origin does make you different leads to such things.
The liberals skinwalk as good people so the right is right about them not being human

There is good chance some people that were fine with airplane flights before are spooked right now, considering everything that has happened recently and what not.

I'm not any more concerned now than I would have been previously and as long as the flight isn't using a new Boeing. One thing about accidents is that they take them seriously and everyone is a little more vigilant. These two particular incidents seem unrelated in every way other than occurring within a week of each other. I don't know what the death or injury count will be from this latest crash, but it's conceivable that it could have killed/injured more people who weren't on the plane than it did those on the plane.

In a week from now almost everyone stressing out about this will have forgotten about it and moved on to whatever is dominating the news cycle over that particular span of days. That's just how the world works now.
