I'm not well-versed on the Bible and its relationship with slavery but I'm pretty, rather than rock the boat calling for its abolition, it advised slave owners to treat their slaves with respect I'm sure.
This is true. In the Bible, slaves weren't treated or seen as what you might think. Being a 'slave' to someone was often a way to repay a debt you owed them. It was like a temporary job to pay someone back. They weren't treated horribly or encouraged to. Slave and 'master' were often on good terms.

I'm sure there's outliers (like the famous story of Moses and Egypt's tyranny over his people) but for that era and culture, 'slavery' was basically repaying a debt.

"I gave you X amount of money, if you can't pay that back, then you can work at my place for X amount of weeks/months/years and you can consider it repaid."

A lot about the Bible gets misunderstood because there's a lack of context, whether it's lack of context of the book the subject is in and/or lack of understanding the culture of that time.

But this isn't the religion thread.

Trump didn’t beat all lawfare against him, survived two assassination attempts (one literally by fucking turning his head for a second), defeated the propaganda machine, and unplugged the ballot printer just to see the more important member of his cabinet (RFK Jr) not be confirmed.

I will say that Kennedy’s speech where he kind of exits the race is a highlight of this cycle. Kennedy really projected his thoughts on the system and how willing to compromise he is on issues. Genuinely a endearing moment where just says “I’m too old to run again next cycle or when a President Harris leaves in a decade from now, it’s either compromise and maybe achieve something or fail and lose everything”.

I do think that both Trump and Kennedy are the opposite of like every other boomer in power. They actually do worry about the country they are leaving their kids and grandkids. They want to leave something behind or plant a tree they will never enjoy the shade of. Trump’s kids all genuinely seem to have some filial loyalty and pride in him.

@AnitaSarsleezian i’ve heard that Trump has ripped Eric and Don Jr in public once or twice for being pricks. Like made them apologize to employees or guests at hotels when they publicly came off like rich pricks. I know one guy who saw it and supposedly Fred would do the same stuff, basically instilling a sense that you are not to treat employees like the help.

Bernie Sanders's wife and daughter were involved in fraudulent transactions through a shit tier college that the wife ran in Burlington. That was likely part of the negotiation he made with Hillary that resulted in him being buck broken in 2016—he doesn't cause any problems at the DNC and gives her a full endorsement, and in return the corrupt feds don't do anything about the crimes of his wife and daughter.

If you think Bernie Sanders was ever anything more than another corrupt politician, you really need to think about things a little more deeply. He was never going to do anything about the cost of university education—his own family was profiting immensely from that corrupt business.
I never understood the Bernie hype. I wasn't really into politics back then but I had a friend who wouldn't stop sucking Bernie off. Had a profile picture of an anime Bernie with the words "Bernie onee-san" on it.
But said friend is Reddit-tier retarded when it comes to politics and thinks they should be paid a living wage + extra for video games just for existing.
They thought Bernie was going to give them that. Really thought they wouldn't have to work. They still refuse to and then complain about being poor. Why work when the government can give you gibs?

All right, here I am with some news articles and my own editorializations of them.
  • From CNN: "Why tariffs on Mexico and Canada could drive up grocery costs, in 3 charts" (archive). This is actually a functional article because the US imports a ton of food from Canada and Mexico. Tariffs on Canada and Mexico will drive up food costs, specifically fruits, vegetables, and grains. I love tomatoes and most of the tomatoes I purchase from my local grocery are products of Mexico or Canada. However, in my opinion, this begs the following questions: why aren't US farmers growing more (the answer is it's cheaper to get it abroad)? If Democrats are so obsessed with locally-sourced food, supporting domestic farmers, and paying fair wages, why would they oppose the US growing more of its own food (the answer is they're liars)? Why should the US buy so much food from, and give so much money to, countries that are openly adversarial towards it (the answer is it shouldn't)? All this said, this is where the smart Democrats are going to attack Trump. My guess is Trump wants to use tariffs as a punishment for countries that don't behave and will reverse them when those countries start behaving better. Also, on a personal note, I think it would be funny to say "I don't care, Trump won" to liberals shrieking about food prices that they didn't care about for the past 4 years.
  • From CNN, their lead story: "7 dead, including 1 on ground, after a medevac jet with a child patient and her mother crashes in Philadelphia, mayor says" (archive). This just has bare information about the plane crash in Philadelphia. Interestingly, 6 out of the 7 passengers were Mexican nationals. The child was getting medical services from a Philadelphia hospital.
  • From MSNBC: "Pentagon agency bans Black History Month in compliance with Trump’s anti-DEI push" (archive). It's not wrong, as the DoD stopped all race-based celebratory months, but it's an obvious play by Democrats to make Trump out to be a rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRrrrrRRrrrrrRACIST! How much money was the federal government spending on all this shit?
  • From MSNBC, their lead story: "There are several reasons Musk wants to control Treasury payments. None of them are good." (archive). Democrat REEE'ing about Musk continues. Their main concerns are that DOGE will find more sources of retarded discretionary spending and put a stop to it, that they'll figure out who and how the federal government blacklisted and helped de-bank, and more fearmongering about how Trump is going to end Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid (which are all part of mandatory spending and thus not subject to this review). Pretty weak tea. CNN is doing a better anti-Trump job as of late.
  • From PBS News: "UNRWA vows to keep providing aid to Gaza despite Israeli ban" (archive). Most of PBS's articles were identical with CNN's, but this one stood out. Basically, some retard from the UNRWA does a shorter imitation of Putin's interview with Tucker. He lays out the Palestinian's view of the world before using that to justify how the UNRWA is going to continue "supporting" Palestinians in an active warzone. They're definitely not going to support Hamas operations, which they've been caught doing over and over. Pinky promise. My own feelings about the conflict aside, I'm surprised this is still going on.
  • CBS News, Fox News, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and The Hill have the same headlines as CNN and PBS News. There was nothing interesting there. Ken Martin was elected head of the DNC, if that's of interest to anyone.
  • From Politico: "How Trump Could Snatch a Third Term — Despite the 22nd Amendment" (archive). Politico has a ton of headlines similar to the other big media outlets, but this article caught my eye. It's obvious fear porn but, depending on how you look at it, you could do the ol' "stop my penis can only get so erect" routine.
  • From Foreign Policy: "The Dirty Business That’s Stopping Climate Change" (archive). It's an interesting little essay about how commodities traders are responding to European courts suing energy and mining companies by stepping in line with regulations. The threat of losing business (and money) is too great for them. From where I'm sitting in the US of A, this will just squeeze energy and food prices in Europe. The EU in general has this problem where their regulations are so strict, and the punishments for not following their regulations are so severe, that it damages businesses and drives up prices. It might be a short-term "win" for the environmentalists, but I don't know how this plays out in the future when Europeans rely on globalism far more than the US does.
  • From Foreign Policy: "How Trump’s Tariffs Are Changing Geopolitics" (archive) (Textise link for those who want to really get around the paywall). This one is my favorite article of the day because it actually discusses Trump's tariffs and its effects on foreign policy in a rational and honest way. The guy being interviewed literally says "hey, I can't read Trump's mind, so I'm doing some speculation."
That's all I've got for now. This has been a lengthy news blurb from your favorite hunk of macho man, Hey Johnny Bravo.

Mr.rogers said PBS was safe like the postal service they can do no wrong.
Doesn't matter if they are corrupted or changed because PBS is helping to teach our youth.
I got a feeling modern PBS is quite laxidasical when it comes to vetting the political views of its programs/creative talent.

For example, Breadtube grifter Lindsay Ellis was employed by PBS until quite recently, and she literally wrote a book series where the main character paraphrased Timothy Mcveigh while planning a day of the rope to free congress from evil human baby consuming reptilian aliens that have lived underground for centuries & secretly seized control of the federal government in order to start international wars for fun & profit the Jews, she means the Jews.

Do reddit and Twitter soys seriously think Canada and Mexico can win a trade war with the U.S? I'd be shocked if a month passes before Trudeau and that hideous kike from Mexico call Trump whimpering and begging for mercy while agreeing to all his demands.
That Hideous Kike
I like it. Sounds like a novel or a band name.
She is hideous. There was a picture of her with her shadow outlined:
It made her look like a witch.
How the hell does one of them become president of a Catholic country?

Commies. They want free stuff. That's it.

Isn't dodges whole thing is bringing light to the often unnecessary amounts of government funding? Like that is transparency, shouldn't that be seen as a good thing?

If your first thought of anti-American beliefs is racial preference, then you've lost the plot.
Even if you are against racism you should still be against groups and countries who are anti-white because guess what that is still racism.
You will never have anything close to racial harmony if other nations wish to use race to divide our nation.

Personally, I think it's kind of weird for Musk to get so much government access, but yes. Democrats don't want the public to see how their money has been wasted.

I never understood the Bernie hype.
He was basically the Left's equivalent to Trump. Outsider candidate espousing populist rhetoric. We know him as a hypocrite, 'no refunds!' type on the Right but the Left he represented an actual change from the status quo that Democrats have been trying their hardest to prop up ever since Obama got elected. I think the Dems have a greater stranglehold over primaries and presidential candidates than the Republicans do, which is why Trump was able to get elected as the Republican candidate and why Bernie couldn't overcome the obtuse mechanics of the Democratic primaries - twice.

They legit treated this as an economical investment, ie I vote(something that's free and you're entitled to) and in return, I will be given free gibs and also have my student loan forgiven. How is that going to happen? Well, fuck if I know, but le memey wholesome chungus jew Bernie will make it happen!
At least the bernouts were kind of adorable with how ignorant they were. The far leftists that wanted Trump and his supporters dead were another story.

I can't be the only one growing my own food in my garden. Tomatoes, Peppers, all those little things will not only taste better and be healthier than the GMO crap you buy in the store but it will also save you boatload of money in the long run. It's not hard and it doesn't take a lot of time, if you don't have a garden but have a balcony you can easily buy a planter and leave the crops there too.

How many of these democrats cared about the Canadian truckers getting their assets frozen and being unpersoned for daring to show up at a non-violent protest? What's that, none of them because all these truckers were evil racists? Well then, up yours too buddy. Don't cry to me when your bank account is frozen and you can't afford your next estrogen injection!

I'm sure all the Americans that made donations to Shriners Philadelphia for the hard cases had free treatment for Mexican citizens in mind.

Yeah man, they're really sneaky about it.

I can appreciate a healthy skepticism towards international orgs, most of them are cancerous snakes, but in this case I am going to take the brave and controversial stance that providing free medical treatment for sick, disfigured, and destitute children (both domestically and abroad) is still a good thing even if some Mexicans end up in the program. As long as those Mexicans go back when they're done.

God I hate that faggot Hogg. I hope Patel can plant some evidence of him conspiring with Iran so he can rot in GITMO.
Normally I'm one of the most anti-murder guys you'll ever meet, but looking at some of these mass shooting survivors, you really start to understand why they happened in the first place. If this is one of the guys the shooter didn't kill, imagine what a bunch of douchebags all those dead students must have been.
