This should be default behavior.
Especially these days, when most games are broken messes on launch and they are half baked, as the developers sell the other half as DLC.
All you have to do is, be a bit patient and buy/torrent the game after at least a year passed. At that point, most bugs are fixed, the game runs better and you can probably get a version of it, that contains all the DLC bullshit, so you get the full experience, for less than the original price (or for free, if you travel the seven seas).
I mean, look at that fucking roadmap for KCD2, they plan to add a bunch of features throughout the year, which should be included in the base game. I don't give a shit about some of them being free. Imagine you buy the game on launch day, play it for a few hours every day, finish it by the end of March, then they put in horse racing, blacksmithing, or whatever. Sure, you will be able to do these things, even after you 100% completed the game, but it will feel like an afterthought.

I heard MSFS 2024 launch was a disaster. Niggercattle were unable to play on launch day, cause the servers died under their load. The sim is still buggy, so most fans returned to playing MSFS 2020. I'm somewhat interested in 2024, because of the career mode, but I heard it is still broken. It makes sense to wait and only try it once all the flightsim tourists get bored with it, so the servers can finally breathe and the devs fix the most glaring issues.
Stalker 2 is another case. I heard it runs like shit, because it is an unoptimzed POS, like every slavshit game. They also fucked up the A-life, or whatever, system, which controls the NPCs, so the experience is inferior compared to earlier Stalker titles. It makes sense to wait, until the devs, or in this case modders, fix up the game.

Doesn't matter what contradictions the personalities in the 'movement' say on the matter, since the only action you need to take is simply to not buy the woke game.
