Would that even work, there’s free interstate trade between states in the United States. Canada actually has trade restrictions between provinces. A company could easily relocate shit to evade tariffs with no problem at all.

Things like energy, manufactured goods, some food goods especially Kentucky bourbon (something he mentioned in his speech) and Tennessee whiskey. I’m not sure if it would work this way but let’s use alcohol as an example. A red state makes the alcohol, ships it to their blue state storage company for storage, then immediately ships it to Canada evading the tariff.

I can appreciate a healthy skepticism towards international orgs, most of them are cancerous snakes, but in this case I am going to take the brave and controversial stance that providing free medical treatment for sick, disfigured, and destitute children (both domestically and abroad) is still a good thing even if some Mexicans end up in the program. The thing with that is the price will be passed onto the consumer... That's kinda the point. If foreign goods are expensive, consumers will start buying domestic alternatives, and foreign profits will suffer for it unless they build American.

It's shocking to me how many people don't seem to realize that foreign goods costing more is the whole point. I don't need maple syrup anyway, I prefer my pancakes with honey.
