This is a fact you should engrave on your soul.I'm scared by the idea that Indian society just rolled the dice poorly, and that any society could have been, or still could be, overtaken by a similar strain of degeneracy.
Civilisation is a constant, proactive push against decay, degeneracy and rot.
You should do your part by demanding standards of behavior everywhere you go. Embrace the Karen. "Snitches get stitches" is ghetto mentality: and look where ghettos are at. Making these demands, confronting bad behaviour in a society of tolerance is difficult. It's anything but easy, and you'll probably need to face some bad habits of yourself first, but ask yourself: who, if not me? When, if not now?
Hold yourself and others responsible, strive for a higher standard of behavior. Push for harsher punishments of crimes. Crime thrives in the tolerance and understanding of society.
The current living standards in the west are the result of centuries and generations of the literal culling of the criminal and the incompetent. Horse theft would get you hanged. Homelessness and vagrancy would get you interned in a labor camp.
Its a choice between a future of favela's and one aimed at the stars. It's your choice.
