Death Battle - Analyzing weapons, armor, and skills on the Internet since 2010.

The time to do this was 2020/2021. And even then, it could have been done as a DBX.
I admit there is a part of me that's just waiting to see if there's some obscure, yet canon, bit of lore that makes one of these guys a galaxy buster or some stupid shit. Still wish this episode just didn't exist, though.

I admit I never played any God of War games, but can Kratos really step up to Asura? He killed a creator deity capable of resetting the entire universe by just punching him really hard.
Going by the "lore" and wank vsbattles like to give Kratos, he has infinite speed dogsleds and has multiversal durability even though he's never faced anything like that in Canon.

Oh, goodie. Can't wait for that shit. Kratos already lost before, but I worry they'll use this bullshit lore for him.

The sperging about "le hecking misogyny" during the Rouge vs Wonder Woman analysis was really annoying. Same with the way he talks.
Unfortunately that’s standard for most Death Battle “fans” who talk about the early seasons. They always bitch about how the analyses for women had boob and sex jokes.

Coincidentally, 9 times out of 10 the guys complaining about this are gay and make those same jokes about dudes and gay sex.

We have reached peak autism. Someone uploaded a 24 hour long video ranking every episode of the first 10 seasons.
Is this a new rank for each or he just took his original reviews and put them all together? Second I can guess for extra views.
But doing the full thing from zero would be weird.

For once Death Battle’s got a controversy that isn’t related to vs debating.

On their Kickstarter they had an award for $2500 where they’d talk on their podcast about a match-up you wanted. And then the latest episode of their cast revealed they aren’t dedicating full podcasts to the matches. They’re dedicating a smaller separate podcast.

The fans got pissed, so Ben had to do damage control on the show’s subreddit.

tl;dr We didn’t like today’s show either! Gonna make changes.

Hey everyone! Been seeing some talk about this week’s Death Battle Cast, and I wanted to address some things. I’ve been interested in experimenting with the show and adjusting its format and direction for the future, but I feel like today’s ideas fell short.

In practice, I don’t like how the Kick of the Week segment worked at all, and we’ll be dropping that concept for something more impactful moving forward. During our Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign last year, the White Phoenix pledge tier guaranteed quite a few digital and physical rewards, including a matchup of the backer’s choice being featured on Death Battle Cast. It was intended to be featured in segments to provide an equal opportunity among these backers, regardless of matchup idea. That way even the most niche or random concept could be highlighted at the same level. We love the weird ideas, but balancing that with a show that relies on consistent viewership is obviously tricky, and we don’t want each backer to feel obligated to pitch ideas “for the algorithm” or something like that. We should have been more clear about that. We still believe a segment format will accomplish this, but we’ll be changing how that’s implemented moving forward so it’s more meaningful.

I want to bring more attention to these pitches in future episodes, and revisit the one from today. I mean, Palpatine VS Makuta is an awesome idea and trying to squeeze it into this episode obviously didn’t feel right. It’s exciting to be rolling out these rewards, and there’s plenty more to come! The backers made those pledges as a means to support us, to revive Death Battle in a time when the show was in danger of ending, and we want to do right by them.

Kratos vs Asura is premiering now!!!

EDIT:
WANKTOS MY BELOVED! Yeah Kratos won. Because of fucking course he did. Though they did show an alternative ending where Asura won (probably to quell the shitshow this episode might cause). Next time is Ghost Rider vs Spawn!
