It's amazing to see how the Globalist Darling that is Trudeau is suddenly going all in to appeal to nationalism to try and rally Canada to handle the US tariffs. Absolutely zero shame. And of course you can see plenty of delusional Canadians going along with this shit.

Most Canadian "nationalism" is endless seething and coping about how they are NOT the United State, and how they are actually so much better and more CIVILIZED and NICER and BETTER THAN THOSE STUPID CHUDS!

I fully expect them to double down on this shit and insist on continuing their Trudeau policies out of sheer american hatred. They won't stop until they are literally dying or dead.
Ya, as a Canadian who has seen his country become an absolute joke in less than 10 years it's both terrifying and hilarious to see all the leftists try to appeal to nationalism when they cheered for the unilateral destruction of the last nationalist movement we had (the trucker convoy)

Unfortunately this is really bad timing for us and will likely delay our elections and now the conservative majority we were almost guaranteed now seems quite uncertain.

If we had strong leadership, I would actually be optimistic that this news could end up being good for us by forcing us to become more self reliant. Unfortunately after 10 years of globalism, post nationalism and 5 million new Jeets most of the good capable people are completely checked out mentally or have left Canada all together. We basically have zero social capital.

The next few months will be interesting.

Poor Ralph, once he gets outta rehab he's gonna have to cut back to half a torta a day.

Edit: Now that I think about it Ralph gets paid in USD. THE RALPHAMALE WINS AGAIN BISH
:ramona:

I think it's only legal for the cartels to cut fat hoes in half

People like to ignore that one of the reasons California is a shit hole outside of Democrats policies is because of the uncontrollable influx of shitty people from the southern border.
Driving an uncontrollable influx of shitty people is a Democratic policy, though. Even if there were no people on the planet outside America, they'd still find the shittiest people in America and bus them in to ruin everything.

you're only saying that because of negotiations going a certain way after the mexican-american war. they were all part of the same country in the early 1840s.
I'll be nerdy and disagree: US attention on California started in the 1830s due to New England whalers and traders finding San Francisco Bay an amazing harbor and pit stop on the Pacific, then seeing firsthand how lovely the future state versus the interior west was and so began fielding purchase offers in 1835, while the Californios themselves had severe dislike of Mexico Proper up to and revolting in 1836 to self-install their own governor. New Mexico, meanwhile, felt the same dislike and took the chance to do a declaration of independence from Mexico... though right after General Kearney came in and annexed the place. They were not fans of being ignored over various Amerindian raids throughout history from Apache in the 18th century to Comanche raiders in the early 19th.

Further, even back then people could see the Gila and Rio Grande (or at least Nueces-Pecos) Rivers, and the Sonoran/Chihuahuan/Wild Horse Deserts those rivers straight-up border or are in the middle of, as obvious natural boundaries between Mexico Proper and the rest of North America. That included even during when they were all Mexico that they really made it hard for organized Mexican forces or trade to go up north to these areas versus the much easier time trading eastward with the USA. And meanwhile, Americans began migrating to California in the early 1840s even before the Gold Rush and once connections were built between SoCal and Texas, New Mexico as well (even if it's always been primarily Spanish in descent).

Can someone explain why redditors are saying that the US can't wage tariff wars with multiple countries at the same time? They also say Canada will not be affected much because they will just import stuff from somewhere else instead.
