All of my lefty zoo has been screaming Trump when they stub their toes for over a week now. They're vacillating every few minutes, trying to be the one who discovers the most sinister thing about any event over the last week, no matter how minor. Everything from bitching about Capitalism for random things like old railways, to sharing capeshit memes about killing Elon, to seething back and forth with "He can't make us go back into the government offices!" and "This wouldn't be a problem if we would get our UNIONS together to fight this!", with a paranoid dash of "Did you SEE those emails about expecting responsibility and loyalty from government employees? LOYALTY? We're already LOYAL to the constitution, this must be a fascist Dear Leader thing! This is like something you'd see in a RESIDENT EVIL message!!!" and "Don't reply to those emails! The courts will block him eventually but you'll be on a HITLIST!!!" This is going to be a bizarre four years.

God the number of people who people who don't understand:
"The US economy is improved by access to temporary immigrant non-citizen labor" and "If we stomp out illegal immigration, this would result in LEGAL pathways for unskilled foreign labor that doesn't exist right because the demand is over saturated with illegal immigrants we have no idea who they are" are not mutually exclusive thoughts.

(Also chain migration needs to get fucking stopped someone shouldn't get fast tracked for permanent status just because they are some greencarder's cousin)

So despite being told for years neither mexico nor Canada could do anything to secure the border, both countries have suddenly deployed massive resources to actually do customs inspections. Mexico has activated and deployed 10,000 of its national guardsmen to halt illegal immigrants.

Expected MSNBC headline: Mexico deploys troops to border in response to Trump Rhetoric; Trump halts Tariffs.

At this point Trump may as well deploy troops to occupy Mexico and offer any aliens their choice of plunder if they sign up to help retake it.

I know. But I'm making up the completely slanted MSNBC headline where they would try to make it sound like Trump has caved to military pressure from Mexico.

Trump could reveal he's been funding cancer research, he's found the cure, and he's giving away the formula for free and the headlines would be "Trump worsens global population crisis"
