Why is American ammo so fucking expensive, it's ancient technology at this point.
I heard somewhere that they use various legal and regulatory traps to make it literally impossible for American companies to make ammo. It's the end run around the 2A to disarm people before they can finally get the thing repealed / SCOTUS'd into oblivion.

Elon Musk on his DOGE discussion on Twitter said Trump is shutting down USAID. Joni Ernst said they can't track the money sent to Ukraine because all the hands the money passed through to get to (or didn't get to) Ukraine. Senator Ernst went to try and get answers from the USAID but they just ended up threatening her and her aides. Musk said it is getting shutdown not because it is an apple with a few worms, but a whole bowl of worms with no apple. Musk also said the US Mint building in DC had all its windows smashed out and the place was being used to house homeless people. Also the LAPD Chief ordered mass arrests for protesters in LA, as they were getting ready to go in, they were pulled back as it is being reported LA Mayor Bass ordered a stand down to all the LAPD, the LAPD has now left the scene.

Covid lockdowns. There's only a couple factories in the US that make chemical primers and they were all shut down. A shitload of people bought ammo with their stimmies and it led to an extreme shortage for a couple years. They're still catching up, and government contracts get priority for any backlogs. I'm still reloading with shit I hoarded during Obama's 1st term.
You can also have the normal company response of never lowering prices because they now know the customer was fine paying a higher price.

I genuinelly cannot believe they picked david hogg. This would be like the reps picking ethan ralph or dick masterson. It's so batshit that I find it worrying.
I mean I'm concerned that the dems are about to flip their shit and start killing Trump supporters and Republicans.
Like my concern is that people who are extreme on the left will flip out and start luiging the "nazis".
Their leadership can be summarized as "globalism good" as an answer to every question, quandary and problem they find. Canadian politics has been stuck in 2008-era Obama dickriding for nearly two decades. They don't have Bibles, they have Daily Show reruns.
The average patriotic Canadian and their entire worldview is that were smarter than Americans, we're better than Americans, we're more civilized than Americans.
Now the facade of a first world country with world class medicine is coming down due to the corruption of the laurentian elite, Justin Trudeaus admin, and the mass migration crisis thw world can see that even Mississippi has a better average quality of life despite higher violence than Canada atm.

i fucking hate mexicans that fly the mexican flag and attend these pro immigration protests. Every single fucking one of them needs to be round up and sent back to mexico, i dont give a FUCK if they are a citizen or not. If you or your family came to America for a better life, worked hard, and you see yourselves as American and pledge allegiance to America then whatever, great (I still probably don't want to be around you) you can stay. But flying foreign flags and speaking foreign languages and maintaining loyalty to a foreign country should be ground for immediate deportation or imprisonment.
Unfortunately, the ICE numbers aren't looking great right now and unless Trump significantly ramps up deportations and heavily reduces legal immigration, it's not an easy problem to fix. Getting rid of violent criminals is good and all but we need to get rid of EVERYONE who has any sort of loyalty to a foreign country.
I'm extremely angry right now.

Fucking bastards stole Zelenskyy's money. They really never cared about Ukraine at all lmao.

Oh yeah, how much money do you have invested in the stock market that it's going to totally fuck your life up?

This is the 30 day price graph for the S&P 500 and Vanguard's total US market fund. This is the crash I'm supposed to be worried about?

For context, here is TSX which to my understanding is Canada's S&P 500 equivalent.

Back in 2016, a little after Harambe got shot, an anon posted this:

People go back to it because of the vaguely-spiritual way it was written, and because on a a long-enough timeline all of these are bound to have something that makes you go "Oh yeah that came true!"

>Three branches
Whatever you want, the most common interpretation is the three branches of government being the same party.
>Island will drift away
Brexit
>Killing bolt
Hawaii nuke
>Star will gorge itself on clay
Israel doing its thing, most recently everything since October 7th, 2023
>Idols
AI
>Black flag
Muslims doing their thing. Pick any given domed building. For a while people we saying it was the conversion of the Hagia Sophia into a mosque.
>Bear will leave it's cave forever
Russian doing something. Most recent one I've seen for this is the Ukraine situation since Crimea happened in 2014.
>killing bolt
I was sure the killing bolt was thecNorth Korea missile test over Japan. The Hawaii thing was a false alarm
>gorging star
The common interpretation used to be the South China Sea dispute but that fits too
Overall though, it seems we're both broadly correct. The prophecy is moving along more or less as advertised. The only thing we're missing for sure is the nuke.

At this point, I couldn't care less about due process or treating people with 'dignity' or anything like that. There needs to be ICE teams going door to door and detaining anyone that can't be identified as a citizen. The military needs to be getting involved in these protests and arresting anyone flying a foreign flag. It should be considered treason to employ or assist illegals. I highly doubt this administration will do these things but at least the chance is higher now than ever before. This needs to happen in the next decade or it's unironically over. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if there's 75+ million illegals in the country. Every single one of them needs to leave.
If they were genuinely fleeing from some mass atrocity, I could sympathize more, but that is not the case. These people hate America and just want to be maggots feasting on its rotting corpse. The fact that boomers allowed this to happen is a crime against the country of the highest order.

It's not American ammo frend, it's russian ammo for a russian mass produced milsurp rifle. 7.62x54r (the r is russia)
I'm going to take the bait here but the "R" in 7.62x54r is actually for "rimmed" since it's a rimfire round. We made it here domestically back in the day when manufacturers like Winchester designed 54r rifles towards end of the 19th century. However, ammo prices here in the US have been permanently fucked for a litany of reasons:
  1. Covid panic buyers in 2020, combined with most everyone getting stimulus checks, cleaned out most LGSes of their stock. On top of that, you started to see boomers and other varieties of scum fuck start to scalp common calibers like 5.56 and .223 since every Bubba wanted at least 2k rounds at the time no matter what. The only thing not getting cleaned out were the slavshit rounds like 7.62x39 and 54r since they weren't as commonplace as your average AR platform.
  2. To this above point, surplus ammo from Russia and the former Eastern bloc was already beginning to dry up in 2020, but was still readily available. In 2014 Obama signed an executive order enforcing an import ban on Russia that essentially cut off the flow of cheap surplus into the US market. Alongside with staples like Mosins and some SKS rifles, "spam cans" of Russian ammo got hit by this ban as well. Hence everything affected by this ban began to creep up in price as the supply was now cut off and collectors (read: boomers) started buying up entire pallets of remaining surplus.
  3. The shit really hit the fan on ammo prices in 2021 when Biden and his tard wranglers decided to sign an executive order banning the import of ALL Russian made ammunition in response to the then-escalating Ukraine conflict. At the time, Russian-made ammo made up about 30% of the civilian market. And of course, with the news of the ban, panic buying ensued and the majority of the remaining surplus ammo was bought up.
  4. As others have stated, domestic manufacturers have still not recovered from the 2020 panic buys and their own supply chain and logistical issues in producing ammunition, and on top of that government contracts get first dibs on fresh production. As the supply has still failed to meet the consumer market demands, the existing ammunition companies have no reason to lower their prices as they can continue to enjoy steep profit margins. Layer in the political unrest of the last 4 years and you have a very lucrative business model, especially when you now corner your domestic market.
Slight PL as a slavshit enthusiast but even after the 2014 ban, both 7.62x39 and 54r were both extremely cheap for surplus steel case. 54r was around 25-30 cents a round and 7.62x39 was roughly 18 cents per round in my area up until 2020 and covid. Now, with all of the above factored in, both rounds are over $1 per round, with 54r approaching $1.25. .308 is cheaper now, which is wild to think about.

Edit: point #5 is regulatory capture of the ammunition industry, by both anti-2A groups/agencies and by insiders within the industry killing off any potential competition to maintain their market share.

But damn, it was shockingly simple. So simple, it's appalling that so many solutions were just sitting there, and for decades nobody had the balls or the integrity to activate them.
Trump is the first president in a very long time to actually care about Americans, definitely since Bush Senior. People have said for my entire life that things could never get better with the stroke of a pen.

Heads deserve to roll.
