Because it was never really about the tariffs, at least with Mexico. It's a power play, the purpose was to make it clear that the U.S.A. holds all the power in the relationship.

I agree it's a problem, but most countries have some form of supply management. This is ususally done to prevent markets from being flooded with foreign goods that can be to the detriment of the national producers and suppliers.

I've heard quail are a good option for people who have uppity neighbors who might get angry at roosters crowing. No idea if quail eggs are a good replacement for chicken eggs, how many birds the average family would need to raise, etc etc.
