Wes Moore. Governor of Maryland. Rhodes scholar, veteran. At this point I think it's less about someone's positive qualities and more about who has plot armor.

You can't call him stupid because he graduated from Oxford. You can't call him anti-American because he served in Afghanistan. You can't call him anti-business because he worked at Deutsche Bank and used to be on the board of Under Armour. You can't make fun of his wife because she has MS. Or, rather, you can, but you will look like an asshole, and that becomes a problem long term.
Counterargument: Who the fuck is Wes Moore?

If you aren't famous like Donald Trump, "cool" like Barack Obama, well-known like a Bush or Clinton, nor give voters boners like Sarah Palin, you become a Tim Walz.

Isn't Anduril that new defense company that's actually making dope new ways to creatively kill third worlders?
I don't have an issue with government contracts that are actually accomplishing useful, cool things. It's bloated make-work shit like we give Boeing and "pregnant persons" researchers.

This is why all this shit is a lot harder than it looks. Who gets to decide what's useful and cool? Who do we pay to do it, and how much do we pay them, and how long does it take, and what is the formula they're using, and how do we provide oversight and accountability to the American people? Which is just governance, which is just...more government.

IMO the answer isn't "burn down government," it's "burn down companies that only exist to make money from government." Destroy Deloitte and McKinsey, not OMB.

Is it far too early to ask who the Dems could possibly run in 2028? The leadership apparatus of the Democrats seems to prevent any unvetted outsiders from rising to the top, so I can't really name anyone of note. If Trump were to die right now, you've got Vance, DeSantis, Rubio, Cruz, etcetera (Their capabilities and loyalty to America none withstanding) but who can you even name from the Democrats? I'm not overly familiar with the Democrats on a whole admittedly, but I was still able to pull some Republican names, but cannot do so for the Dems. Maybe Buttgieg? Sanders?
I have no idea. Certainly not Harris. Only hope the Dems have is to nominate someone competent, who isn't crazy, and is basically middle-of-the-road. Maybe Fetterman. Over the last year he's shown himself to put country first before the party. Not sure how his physical limitations would factor in, though. Otherwise, cannot think of any Dem who is Presidential material.

But Newsom? Fuck, NO! I've shit things smarter than that fuckwagon.

Easy, I decide. All gibs are instead redirected to development of fun, futuristic weapons.
The Hellfire missile with blades was worth every penny. I'd mount one on my wall if I could.
